Dominican Taxi

Worse taxi service ever. Usually when i call a taxi from the job to take me to my house it cost $7 but this time it cost $15 that is more than double. A colored man was my taxi driver and he went on the highway for no apparent reason because you can get to my house locally. On top of that he passed the exit that is closest to my house and went up 2 exists away from the city i live in. He went up to cranston when i live in providence. I was telling him which exit it was and i even told him not to get on the highway but he didnt listen. He had a gps on so he knew what he where he was going and the gps was taking us the right way when we got on the high way the gps said ""recalculating"" and then again when he passed my exit it repeated ""recalculating"". He cannot blame what he did on anyone but himself. I called the agency after i got home and they didnt even listen to me. I dont recommend this taxi agency to any one. more

They may show up ten minutes early, wait 5 minutes, and then take off. My girlfriend called ahead last night, to order a cab for this morning at 5:30am, in order to get to the train station en route to a job interview in Boston. The cab arrived early, and she received a call letting her know the cab was outside. She informed the dispatcher she'd be out at 5:30 - the time she ordered the cab. I received her frantic phone call at 5:33am (no joke) telling me the cab was gone and she wasn't sure how she could get to her job interview. After finding a friend's car to borrow (don't worry, she made it), I called Dominican Cab to tell them that we would have been happy to pay the money to have the cab driver sit for those 3 minutes, but that we would have at least expected a call if they decided to cancel a cab ordered 12 hours in advance on 3 minutes notice. In short: don't count on Dominican. In fact, don't even consider them. more

They called to confirm my reservation I made online last night. They told me to call a half hour to 15 min before I needed it the next day. I did, they came in less than 10 min. The guy who drove me (Francisco #18) was so nice. I couldn't pronounce the name of the street right and he had such patience, and he called the company to find out. After he went out of his way driving in the wrong direction, due to me, he turned around ""no problem"" he said and re clocked the ride appropriately. Such a sweet man. After he dropped me off he said he would come back when I need him to and he did, happily, right away when I called. I am so pleased. After reading some reviews of taxi's online it seems difficult to get a good one around here. And I know it varys from driver to driver. Choose this cab driver, Francisco. I would call the company and request him if I were you. He is darling! more

I called Dominican cab today at 10:15 and asked for a cab at 11:15. At 11:25 I called again. At 11:40 the cab came. I missed my train and the dispatcher was very rude. Bad experience. THis is no way to run a business. more
