They may show up ten minutes early, wait 5 minutes, and then take off.
My girlfriend called ahead last night, to order a cab for this morning at 5:30am, in order to get to the train station en route to a job interview in Boston. The cab arrived early, and she received a call letting her know the cab was outside. She informed the dispatcher she'd be out at 5:30 - the time she ordered the cab. I received her frantic phone call at 5:33am (no joke) telling me the cab was gone and she wasn't sure how she could get to her job interview.
After finding a friend's car to borrow (don't worry, she made it), I called Dominican Cab to tell them that we would have been happy to pay the money to have the cab driver sit for those 3 minutes, but that we would have at least expected a call if they decided to cancel a cab ordered 12 hours in advance on 3 minutes notice.
In short: don't count on Dominican. In fact, don't even consider them.
