Best

Relaxing family friendly environment.

Worst

We went last year with our 1 year old to see the xmas lights, I wasn't impressed. It cost me and my hubby about 80$ to go. Most of the sights we weren't allowed to take a stroller...

Decent park 6/26/2006

While this is definitely not the best amusement park I've ever been to it definitely had its perks. We went on a Friday in June and had very little wait in the lines. The roller coasters were good but the new Timber Tower was very disappointing because no one gets wet like advertised. It was the longest wait and not really worth the wait. There are several good water rides that get you soaking wet. On two occassions the park was closed down for lightening one of which the sky was blue as could be. People were pretty ticked off then. I'm not sure we'll make a return trip but it was enjoyable. more

Dollywood 4/15/2006

Dollywood is a family experience for everyone. You have rides and animals and shows. My fifteen year old daughter liked the place as much as my sixty year old mother. There were all types of show scattered around the park. Some where music, country, oldies, or bluegrass. There was live bird shows. You also got to see dolls being made the same way they were on the frontier. There were wood makers and metal workers. We saw butter being churned. It was a great place. There was also a full restaurant on the property. They serve good country food. The chicken was the best to me. You could also stop in early in the morning before the park opened and have a full course breakfast. I would recommend this adventure. I love Tennessee because there is a lot of things to do there. This is one of the hot spots that you really must visit. Parking is plenty and there is little trams that take you from parking to park. I will be going again and again. I do not live in Tennessee but in Maryland. When planning your next vacation include this spot. more

Dollywood!!! 1/10/2006

Dollywood theme park is a one-of-a-kind. It is so much fun for all ages and there is so much to do and see. Not only are the rides great but they also have great live entertainment. It is also home to four of the South's largest festivals. The park is very clean and the staff there all know what true southern hospitality is! more

Country Getaway 10/23/2005

Dollywood is a great theme park, showcasing the talent and craftsmanship of the Smokey Mountains. Dollywood has rides for children as small as 2 up to grandparents. The teenagers love the rollercoasters and families enjoy the train ride or the Rampage. There is literally something for everyone. The employees around the park are always friendly and helpful if you have questions. Definately purchase a season pass if you are going to visit the park more than 2 days a year! more

Interesting, to say the least 10/8/2005

I had the opportunity to stop at Dollywood while taking a trip through the mountains of Tennessee. It is very interesting that a country music star would have a theme park named after her, but I suppose stranger things have occured. This is a place I would not reccomend crossing state lines to visit, but if you're in the neighborhood, why not take a gander. It's certainly unlike anything you've ever seen, I can guarantee that. There are rides and carnival games and a bunch of people singing. That's all I recall from the experience. more

Not impressed 9/29/2005

We went last year with our 1 year old to see the xmas lights, I wasn't impressed. It cost me and my hubby about 80$ to go. Most of the sights we weren't allowed to take a stroller in and I just didn't feel good leaving our stroller outside. We had someone ask us for our name and phone to call about our trip to Dollywood I wish they would have called, I didn't find it baby friendly at all !! more

Thank you Dolly! 8/21/2005

Dollywood is, quite simply, a blast. I just happend to pass through the area on a cross-country road trip and decided to visit the park. I am not some Dolly Parton fan or anything. I know some of her hits and like her, but never really imagined that I would be visiting her themepark. Well, I am so glad I did. It was a blast. They have lots of fun rides and show and great food. The employees were super-friendly and the lines were not too bad either. Everyone we met at Dollywood (and in the whole town) was so great. If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy yourself! But check their website first because they are not open all year round. more

Dollywood 8/19/2005

Dollywood is a great way to spend a day with your family and friends. Not only do they have rides, but they also have surprisingly good shows and shops. I also like the restaurant selection. They have ones where you can sit down and be waited on in case you are tired of walking. They also have a small pond where you can feed ducks and fish. It's very family friendly so it's a good place to bring children. more
