Was told no raincheck without receipt. We thrown away our receipts but better yet we are in your theme park requesting raincheck. We love Dolly Parton and left without drama. We love Dolly Parton and this treatment is not her style. more

First time ever staying at the resort was in June 2018. While there we purchased tickets for both parks. We had such a GREAT time that we returned in July, August, and October with plans to go back in November. Dollywood Dream Resort is the BEST place to stay. The resort is family based and was almost as much fun as the parks. We are so thankful for story time, the movie, warm blankets and rocking chairs outside along with the fire pits and making s'mores . The outside pool could not have been nicer. There was plenty of area to rest and relax with or without children. Then, if that is not enough, there is the full spa. Dollywood Dream Resorts knows how to take care of their guest. Thanks for reserving our show time, the fast passes and the discounts for the gold pass. We have enjoyed our time together. The only suggestion that could be made is that the resort offers reward points. more

We have been to Dollywood twice now. We have had two vastly different experiences. If you like to ride roller coaster or any of the thrill rides DO NOT GO IF THE TEMP IS GOING TO BE BELOW 45 degrees. This year it was a complete bust! We couldn't even get cinnamon bread because the pipes were frozen. Who has frozen pipes in a multimillion dollar theme park in 2017. The "fast pass" system had taken a technological step backwards and can only be used 10 times in a day. They now mark on the tag around your neck with a sharpie. The one ride that was working broke down while we were on it. If the low is going to be 45 degrees or above then go, but if your kids are 10 -16 and want to ride the roller coasters don't waste your money. Still great for the parade and smaller kids stuff but we will leave this year feeling hosed! more

This is a great place to visit while on vacation. This is also special in the Winter time. They offer many specials during the Christmas holiday. There is a parade of lights and special shows through out the park. This will take you at least a day to go through. I took two days when I went. There were shows everywhere in the park. The rides where also everywhere in the park. You had a great deal to take in. They have crafts everywhere. There is a giant tree where little kids can play. Make believe is very active here. There is also any kind of food you could want. They have the best funnel cake I ever had. Everything is made in the open and you get fresh quality food. The price for this park is about $50.00 a ticket. They also have special for seniors as well as kids. Dollywood is a place for everyone no matter your age. I loved the characters that run the park and interact with people. I love seeing the Eagles sanctuary. This is a must see adventure. You will definitely need more than one day to see it all. Dollywood is a family experience for everyone. You have rides and animals and shows. My fifteen year old daughter liked the place as much as my sixty year old mother. There were all types of show scattered around the park. Some where music, country, oldies, or bluegrass. There was live bird shows. You also got to see dolls being made the same way they were on the frontier. There were wood makers and metal workers. We saw butter being churned. It was a great place. There was also a full restaurant on the property. They serve good country food. The chicken was the best to me. You could also stop in early in the morning before the park opened and have a full course breakfast. I would recommend this adventure. I love Tennessee because there is a lot of things to do there. This is one of the hot spots that you really must visit. Parking is plenty and there is little trams that take you from parking to park. I will be going again and again. I do not live in Tennessee but in Maryland. When planning your next vacation include this spot. more

If it weren’t for Dollywood, you’d never have heard of Pigeon Forge, TN, right? So at least there is a reason for Dollywood. Supposedly. I went here with the family and we thought we were going to an Eastern-TN Disneyland. Ha. Not. Dollywood itself is kind of lame. It’s got the wild-west theme, which makes no sense because it’s in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I guess there’s not really appeal in portraying Appalachian life, so they went for the old-west hoe-down theme. I guess that’s okay if that’s your thing. A lot of country singers and people singing in the street. Some rides, but a lot of them were closed when we went because it was “off season”---the park was open, but the rides weren’t. I hear they do a jam-up job at Christmastime and if you’re lucky, Dolly herself will even show up!! Now that’s a reason to go if I ever heard of one. Bottom line: Go to Carowinds or Six Flags if you have other options. Save Dollywood for the times when you really, really have no theme-park options. Even then, I’d think the trampoline in the back yard is more fun than Dollywood… more

The price has steadily gone up in the last few years. Currently it is $43.50 plus tax for ages 12-59, children 4-11 are $32.35 and seniors ( 60+) are $40.15. Be prepared for a lot of walking. The park is spread out, a lot of steep hills, so you walk up and down quite a bit, if you have any walking issues you might want to pay to rent a motorized chair. A lot of the demonstrations and shops are up the hill so wear good shoes with good tread (especially when the ground is wet, no flip flops, you'll have no traction). The leather shop is wonderful, the smell is worth going into the shop for. They have a clothing shop which has cute clothes but is expensive. There is a spiritual shop, a candle shop (which also has demonstrations and you can dip your own candle in colored wax), lil' dollys dresses which has cute dresses for girls which really isnt too high priced. If you have a little girl with you, go into that shop early in the day and ask them if they need a model. If they do not have one already your childs age they will fit her with a dress, socks, hair bows and any other accessories necessary for the look they are wanting to achieve and if your child wears the outfit for the better part of the day you are given the entire outfit. It is so others in the park can see how cute they look and to get them in the store to buy. There are many eating places on park too, a lot of booths with food and a few restaurants ($$$$$). Aunt Grannys is probably the best. It is an all you can eat buffet with good ol fashioned southern cooking. Some of the other food booths sell dippin dots (frozen dots of ice cream), cookies, pop corn, drinks (you can get a free glass of ice water if you ask the places that sell fountain drinks)frozen lemonade and vendors with carts that walk around selling bottled drinks. The shows are good and are included in your admission price unless they are special concerts which usually require advance tickets. You won't see Dolly here unless it happens to be one of the four times she comes to Dollywood a year. Kind of a let down, you go to DIsneyland expecting to see Mickey mouse and you do, so naturally you'd go to Dollywood expecting to see Dolly but you have a better chance of being in an airplane wreck than seeing her. It is worth going once to say you've been but to buy season tickets to me is a waste of money, it doesnt change enough to not get bored. more

Dolly Parton's entertainment amusement park features a variety of entertainment for everyone in the family, over 20 different craft showcases (BlackSmiths, Glass Blowers, Wood Crafters, and many more!). Features over 30 rides for all ages. A children's area of the park with kiddie ride. For the more daring adults take a ride on their newest roller coasters (wAAAHhh!!!!). Tons of attractions, there's just too many to list. Be sure to take a trip to Imagination Station where you can experiment and get hands on with all kinds of neat experiments. Check out their website for a listing of everything. Dollywood has it all! You think Disney is great, forget it! you havn't been here yet! They may not have Mickey Mouse but they have many more colorful crazy characters that make up for that. Hundreds of stands, themed shops, games, rides, a museum that depicts Dolly Parton's life growing up, bakery (you have got to stop in there! yumm!), candy shops, old tyme pictures. And just when you think you've seen and experienced it all you have to take a ride on the real coal burning Train (enjoy the show as well!). Their Festivals are a BLAST! The Harvest Festival is one you can't miss if you're visiting during the Fall with the color change of the leaves in the Smoky Mtns.. The Smoky Mtn. Christmas Festival is magical and one you won't forget. more
