Dolly's Dockside Bait Tackle

This was a bad experience. Well, there was one positive: the view from the back screened porch was very enjoyable at sundown time. Too bad that the food was not the equal of the view. The service was pleasant, but VERY slow. The food was below average in quality and was grossly overpriced. Small portions and mediocre preparation should not carry a price tag like you would pay in a premium restaurant. Overall this was quite a disappointment and we will NOT be dining here again! Disappointment. The server was attentive & nice but the wait for food was too long. Quality was not bad but volume was too small for the price. Here's what we ordered: gator nuggets - appeared to be lot less than ""quarter pound"", steamed oysters - pretty good but kinda sandy/lots of tiny shells mingled in, clams - $7ish for the small portion(!) and did not taste fresh. We ordered conch poboy and additional order of oysters. After another long wait, oysters finally came but sandwich didn't, even after we finished off oysters, we decided to cancel the order. My partner was upset as the bill was $44 for 4 small appetisers & 4 drinks! The server apologized to us. I understand this was not her fault but was such a rip-off.
