Dixie Stampede 1/15/2007

This is another great dinner theatre. This is a large stadium likes room. You sit around the room in a circle. You are also sitting on benches like seats. All food is served by great servers. The mean is very simple so that you can eat it with your hands. They do not let you have silverware because there was not silverware back then. The food is very good. The Christmas show is also very fun. I have seen both shows. The Christmas show portrays the nativity and then there are games and lots of horses after that. The whole show is fun and very entertaining. I do have asthma and had to increase my medication to get through the whole show. They do have horses that kick up dust and dirt. I would recommend this show to everyone. I believe this dinner cost me about thirty five dollars a person but well worth it. You can make reservations on line and sometimes save money. You do need to make reservations because this show sells out very fast. It took me two days to get seats. The food and show are well worth the wait and I can honestly say this is a show you should not miss. http://www.dixiestampede.com/pf_opening_act.php more

expensive dinner, fair entertainment 4/5/2006

I took my parents last year. It was over $100 for three of us. I thought it was okay, but my dad and mom, horse enthusiasts, loved it. You don't eat with silverware, but with your fingers. The night I was there you had a huge cornish hen that was pretty good. you also had another kind of meat which I can't remember with veggies and a dessert. The show and dinner lasts two or three hours. Come early so you'll have a chance to view the horses. Afterwards, you can meet the entertainers. This will be a real treat for children. I saw tons of little girls and preteens lining up to have their picture made with some of the production's leading men. Crowd interaction is encouraged and kids have a lot of fun cheer on their side. You'll also see some amazing rodeo talent in the process. Only one warning...the crowd is divided into sides that are cheering for the south and the north. So, if you have a preference, make sure you sit on the correct side. A funny band provides some pre-show entertainment and serves up some taste non-alcoholic cocktails, another reason to arrive early! Enjoy! more

You Must Go!!!! 1/10/2006

This place is so much fun!!! They serve you dinner while you sit back and watch their amazing show. The show includes horses, live buffalo, ostrich races, and so much more. The arena seats1,000 people around a 35,000 square-foot arena at each facility. You will truly be amazed!! Fun for the whole family. more

Really fun... 8/22/2005

This was a really fun time. The meal was timed with the show. The servers were a part of the show. The show was really fun to watch and put together well . The food was great. The audience participation was really fun. I recommend you try this. IT is a bit pricy, but it's a really good time. more

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede 8/20/2005

The only word to describe the Dixie Stampede is FUN! I went with a large group of friends and I don't think we've ever had so much fun. You really get into the different acts and I had a blast watching the performers. They also serve dinner which was really good. You can take photos afterwards with people in costumes. I am anxious to go back. more

Dinner & an interactive Show! 8/19/2005

Visitors to this attraction may enjoy a four-course feast while experiencing an exciting interactive show consisting of horses, daring riders, southern bells, music, clean comedy, dancing and much more. Which side will you be on tonight? The North (dang Yankees!) or the South (yeehaw!). During the show they pick/choose people from the audience to be part of the show. They pick out children from the audience to partake in all sorts of silly games and relays as well. The show is terrific, the food is delicious (usually consists of your own personal capon chicken, rolls and all the fixins), and it's all well worth the ticket price . When you enter the Dixie Stampede you can have your picture taken with a Southern Bell (later on you can choose to purchase your picture to keep as a souvenir, however it's not mandatory). Have a seat in the saloon (non-alcholic drinks) and enjoy the comedy show while you wait for the main event. After the main show take a stroll in the gift shop and you can even meet all of the horses that take part in the show in the stables located on the side of the main building. more
