I had an unpleasant experience from STORE # 1588 at 1034 Dunn Avenue Jacksonville, FL. It was a busy afternoon and the lines were long. The second cashier decided to open her checkout lane and took me as her first customer. I told her that I have 14 items I would like to return that was previously bought yesterday. Inside my cart are 11 new items that I wanted to exchange. She told me that according to their store policy, they don't give refunds but I can exchange it for other items. Realizing that I was short of 3 items to exchange, I told her that I will get 3 more items and she can proceed to checkout the person behind me. I left my cart in the front register thinking that she would allow me to go next. After 30 seconds I came back with my 3 items to complete my exchange. I waited for about a minute in the front register when she told me that I SHOULD GO BACK AT THE END OF THE LINE! I was surprised that she did that knowing that I've been there first in line and I was just gone for 30 seconds. I had to go at the end of the line with 5 more other people. I was upset and I went to the other register but I was told that I should go back to HER LINE ! I was trying to contain my anger and being professional about this. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, I finally made my exchange and I asked her what's the store supervisor's name. I figured I would talk to her boss about this incident. What made me more upset was on my way out she was talking about me with another colleague while there were still customers around. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL! Before I exited the door I told her that I'm going to make sure that her boss will be informed about this. I can challenge this unprofessional employee of Dollar Tree at Dunn Avenue even if we have to go back to the store's security videotapes last November 19. A person like her should not get a job if she doens't have the proper work ethics! I do not appreciate such poor customer service. This leads to bad publicity!
Pros: Affordable prices
Cons: The shopping complex where this Dollar Tree is located always have beggars or other creative ways of asking for donations. Sales associates need to be more professional.
