Simply put, there is no better place to eat in the immediate area. Not a huge menu, more of an emphasis on their baked goods, which are first rate. Everything is homemade. Their signature swordfish tacos are a nice surprise, delicate chunks of fish simmered in a savory sauce, handmade tortillas, served with stellar pintos & rice, fresh guacamole & salsa, for about what you'd pay eating at Carl's Jr. They've got salads, pasta, spaghetti w/ homemade meatballs, sandwiches on fresh baguette. Top that off with homemade cookies, cupcakes, or gelati, well, enough said. Nice Euro feel; small, only a few tables. I recommend calling ahead for take out. Or just stop in - they open at 8am; cappuccino & croissant in the morning, hello. Their to-go packaging looks nice enough for a party, but to me, Dolce Isola is a afternoon lunch stop that happens to be above-average restaurant quality (& walking distance from my house).
