Lacks a real park, but a lovely atmosphere 12/31/2005

Dogwood Dell isn't the sort of place you go for swings and slides, but it is a great place for a job, a great place for a dog walk, and a perfect area for a picnic. Many city event take place at Dogwood Dell in front of the giant Carillion and it's a lovely welcoming place for a bit of peace and quiet. more

Fun family shows 9/21/2005

Dogwood Dell offers an ampitheater and a kids outdoor stage called Ha' Penny stage. In the summer they offer children's shows and music every couple of weeks. You need to take your own chairs or blankets. There is also a playground, however, there was a section that was broken and appeared to have been down for some time. Watch the Richmond Parents magazine for schedules. more

Dogwood Dell Park & theatre 7/13/2005

Outdoor ampetheatre with live music and performances that are FREE to attend. Sponsored by the city of Richmond Parks and Recreation this is family entertainment at its finest! Pack a picnic grab a blanket and some bug spray and have a great time at the park! The schedule usually comes out right before Memorial Day (kick off) and they usually have 3 theatrical performances per year. There are many music performances and dance and kids shows too! Plan a family outing at the DELL. See ya there! more
