No Way 12/7/2011

Not accredited by the B.B.B. Way too small for the capacity of dogs. They say they don't create, but have an entire front room full of them. The sicko owners watch their neighbors kids, in their own back yard, through a security camera out the back. At night, rats everywhere. Not a place for my dog. more

Disgusted Resident 7/6/2011

I live behind this business, and I can tell you that I would never send any animal to Wendy or Todd. They are real smooth talkers and put on a great game face. My back yard absolutely reeks. You can smell dog feces and urine. The noise is so loud, that my daughter hasn't had a good night sleep in a while. They also let their dogs lay around in the potty gravel. There is pictures of it on their web site. And, I'm not sure who is louder, the dogs barking, or the empolyees yelling at them. Residents have made complaints to the city, and Berkley will do nothing, probably because of tax reasons. Us, residents, have asked politely numerous times, and they'll tell you they will do something, then just go on. I'm going to have to move. The ground in the back is saturated with dog waste. I watched one of the fence installers almost get sick when he dug in. So, thanks alot DITW, I will always let evrybody know my opinion.\r \r And, to all potential customers, please do your research first. Go ar more

No place for a business like that 7/6/2011

Absolutely disgusted. I am a resident that lives behind the DITW. My back yard is constantly reeking of dog feces and urine. My children can barely go outside to play. I can't have BBQs, because of the odor. We have to keep our back windows shut, even during the cool days. The noise is absurd. Not only are the dogs barking non-stop, but the employees are screaming at them as well. This business has no business in a residential area. Very bad for the community. Check out their FB page, and web site. The dogs are allowed to lay around in the gravel they use as a toilet. See for yourself. Pictures speak louder than words. more

Doggie in the Window is Fantastic! 9/8/2010

I just want to say how much we love taking our dog "Zeke" to Doggie In the Window. Wendy and the girls are fantastic!! Our dog litterally drags us into the place and doesn't look back. When we inform him that he is going to "Doggie Camp", he leaps up and down and gets super excited knowing that he gets to play with all his friends for the day. \r \r For a super energetic border collie/lab mix this has been a god send and gives us a piece of mind knowing that he is going to a place where he will be looked after and well cared for while we are away.\r \r -Mike Hartter more

Response to Susan 2/11/2010

This review was just brought to my attention today, almost a year after being posted. It is unfortunate that Susan wrote so negatively and falsely about Doggie in the Window. This is Wendy Luczak, owner of Doggie in the Window (for the past 6 years) - I invite all dog owners to visit my Facebook page for Doggie in the Window, which showcases photos of the arenas where all the dogs can play from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. The page also shows how well cared for the dogs are including feedings and bathings. Also, every night a staff member visits the dogs for a "potty" break before they are safely tucked in for the night. Being a dog lover and very dedicated to dogs, I invite anyone interested in touring Doggie in the Window to contact me directly and I would be happy to show you how special your dog will be treated while spending time with me and my wonderful staff. 248-336-2655. more

Very Disapointed 12/7/2008

I went to several day care/boarding facilities and after checking 4 of them out (1 in Troy, 1 in Royal Oak, 1 in Birmingham) I can't imagine why anyone would trust and leave their dog here. They have only 3 kennels the rest are wire crates that the dogs are put in from 6:30 pm until 6:30am. They have one arena that is only large enough to accommodate possibly 15 dogs at one time, which means your dog would have to either be outside unattended or in a crate. The staff leaves at 6:30 and does not show up again until the next morning unless the neighbor calls them regarding noise. The outside "play" area smells and is gravel. In order for the dog to get water they have to go outside. There are too many places that actually take the pets needs into consideration that I would NEVER put my dog in a place like this. They are not even recommended by any boarding organization. Their prices are as high if not higher than the best day cares out their. more
