I've been to nearly ever pet store in Austin since moving here (the chains and the small boutiques), and none compare to Doggie Deli. The quality of product and customer service are out of this world! I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else. Pros: Quality, Customer Service, Great atmosphere more

My friend told me about Doggie Deli and I am so glad! Both my dogs are rescues and have joint problems. They were on the Science Diet JD perscription and never ate more than a few bites if that! I was seeing money being thrown out and no relief for my dogs. I decided why not try something new. Claudia spent the time with me hearing about my dogs and gave me samples to try before I spent money on something they would not eat--yes I have picky dogs and have to do my own vacuuming! Low and behold with a mix of food and joint drops my dogs now look forward to dinner! They eat every bite and are running and jumping like puppies. It even costs less than I was spending at the vet on food. I live in Round Rock and the drive is not bad at all, well worth happy pets and parents! Pros: Customer Service above the roof, quality food and cute store! Love to visit. Cons: Cater to dogs, if you have other pets you still have to go to the boring stores too. more

Doggie Deli and Spa is by far the best pet store in the area. (The larger chains have nothing on this place!) One can see that the owner takes time and effort to choose the best products and won't sell anything she wouldn't give her own dogs. The selection of premium dog food and treats are wonderful!!! I believe in giving your dog the healthiest diet possible and the selection of all natural/organic foods and treats makes it easy. Every time I go in, my stomach seriously growls just from looking at the delectable treats in the bakery case. (You would think they were made for humans) They even have birthday cakes!! In addition, I was pleased to find a variety of different toys and puzzles that were suggested by my dog trainer. As for the ""pretty pup"" aspect of it all, the selection is to die for. When purchasing my latest collar, it took at least 30 minutes to choose. There were too many cute and stylish collars AND matching leashes to choose from. Not to mention the adorable clothes for dogs of all sizes. Who doesn't need a miniature plaid pea coat with rhinestone buttons and a pink faux fur collar? Speaking of pampered pups, the spa is awesome! I am very harsh critic of most doggie places...when it comes to my boy Griffin, I ONLY want the best for him. If the customer service is horrible, I will leave, if the place smells like dirty dog, I leave as well....the list can go on and on. BUT when I stumbled across Doggie Deli & Spa and met Claudia (the owner) I became a HUGE fan. She and her husband obviously love dogs and devote a lot of time researching varieties of pet foods, ingredients, safe toys, etc. Besides all their great products, all holistic, natural, and top quality she also carries a fantastic display of leashes and misc pet supplies. Griffin, my puppy, is a hyper, GIANT labrador who I mention, ""want to go to the pet store?"" jumps up and down in the air and drools all over my car in anticipation to see Otis (Claudia's dog) who is always there to play. This is the absolute only place I would recommend with 5 stars. I have been to Tomlinson's, Petco and Petsmart and there you are only a number, and they are all about the hard core sell but Claudia sees all her customers as people (or dogs) and treats them all on an individual basis. She is very willing to sample food and make sure my dog eats it before leaving her store and is willing to always divulge me with new products, new food, talk with me about ingredients and I never feel rushed or she just is in it for the money. Anyone can apparently see that Doggie Deli & Spa loves all dogs and only has the best for them. And I look forward to shopping there as much as Griffin loves going there. Great selection of premium dog food, healthy treats and other unique pet accessories. Friendly and knowledgeable owners. My dog loves hanging out there. more
