The Dog n Burger has perhaps the perfect classic grease-pit burger, as well as one heck of a hot dog. The meat is delightfully fatty and, if you want, covered in cheese and/or mayonnaise. Ordered with fries, the grease will almost completely soak through the bag, and I don't say that as a bad thing. It's not Kelly's (they have the original giant burger, and innovative to boot) or the Red Dog (killer backyard-style stuff with cheap beer), but the Dog n Burger has it down pat for the classic cheeseburger experience. One shouldn't indulge in it too often--though I have to admit that I probably do, and certainly have paid the price for it--but it's worth it. Skip the diet soda, forget the small fries, and go ahead and get the double. I'm the guy ordering the double cheeseburger, fries, and large root beer at the DnB. Have some with me the next time you're out 20th and Manteo.
Pros: Classic, greasy, delicious
Cons: Nothing new, smaller than the oversized monsters elsewhere
