Dog Paws Inn LLC

Would our dog prefer to spend every day at the Dog Paws Inn than hang out with us, and then come home at night played out and happy? Yes! After a rocky couple of months of experiences with Happy Tails in Portland, our dog has loved every minute at the Inn. The staff has helped him learn how to curb his overwhelming enthusiasm for other dogs, and assures that he is safe and busy enough at all times. He leaps from the car when we arrive, and pulls on his leash to get us to the door so he can join the fun. I never worry about our dog when he is there because the owner and staff are clearly committed to making sure each dog is cared for. We have used kennel services that have fancier facilities and more high end services but those are really for the people, not the dogs. This is a place that dogs love. I can't say more. more

Our dog has so much fun there, The staff is great and they always supervise the dogs play. The pup is always excited to run in the back and play with his friends hes met there. We take him there for the day care and boarding and he always wants to run right back. The staff is very friendly and great with the dogs. more

This is the ONLY kennel that I have ever felt 100% comfortable with. They are so wonderful with the dogs and they set up play groups with dogs that they know will have fun together out in the yard. Our sweet shepherd is always happy to come here and always sad to leave. It is the best place for dogs in southern Maine!!!! more

My name is Grace and I am a playful and goofy yellow lab. I love my time at the Dog Paws Inn! I spend a couple of days a week there and have lots of friends that I see regularly. The people here are the best- they know us so well, who we like to play with and what our favorite toys are too. In the summer they put out pools for us to swim in. At lunch time they give us a snack too! They are truly dog lovers themselves and know so much about canine behavior! Every so often I have a sleepover at the Dog Paws Inn and I am so comfortable there- it is like my second home. My human loves me like crazy and is so happy that the Dog Paws Inn is a trusted place for me to spend time with my pals! more

I recently used the boarding service provided by the Dog Paws Inn. My black lab was extremely well cared for, and obviously enjoyed her experience there. She had a two day stayover, and though she was excited to see me, she seemed like she missed her new friends. The facility is very well maintained, and the outdoor play area is fantastic. Your dog will receive great care from the staff, who are 100% professional. They screen the animals, to ensure the safety of your pet, and are very enthusiastic about the care aspect. Pros: great care, excellent screening process, fantastic facility, flexible pickup/dropoff hours, large crates Cons: none. more

My long-haired dachshund always comes home happy from Dog Paws Inn. Customer service is always very friendly and helpful. They have real concern for their animal guests. Your dog will get to socialize with other dogs in a protected environment. For a few dollars more than a traditional kennel, you can go away knowing that your dog will not be sitting in a cage all day while you are lolling on a beach. more
