Very unprofessional, rude and immature I will not a returning customer \r \r I sure hope they are better with dogs then they are with people.\r My wife made the mistake of pre paying for 2 dogs for about 5 days. We arrived a couple days early and went to pick up the dogs and everything was fine. We asked for a refund for the days they would not be attending and was told they would send a check...Long story short no check, I placed a call a week latter and was told they were to busy to write a check?? I asked when would be a better time that was not busy to get the check and I was hung up on… \r Very unprofessional, rude and immature I will not a returning customer \r more

I took my two dogs to The Dog and I during Christmas, and I felt very comfortable leaving them there. When I got to pick them up they seemed happy and well taken care of. I also got pictures of what they were up to during their stay. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family. Pros: The staff is very caring more

I have trusted my golden with the Dog and I since he was a pup, and they have always done a terrific job with him. We have been lucky to find them, and my buddy was treated like a member of the family. He stayed with them when he had a leg removed for cancer, and they cared for him with great compassion. We would not consider any other place for our hound hotel needs! Pros: GREAT PEOPLE more

My dog Lady was extremely shy and timid, so I was nervous dropping her off at a dog daycare. However, after a day, she was running around and playing with the other dogs. When we went to pick her up, she kept running back to the door to go back inside! The staff took excellent care of her and provided a report when we picked her up, so we could see her interaction with the other dogs. They are very loving with their clients, and it's evident by how much the dogs love them. \r When we brought Lady back and pulled up in the parking lot, she was excited to see the building and immediately ran to the door! She is a lot more interactive with other dogs now and we'll be their clients for life! Pros: Excellent staff, clean facility, good playtime with other dogs more

I absolutely loved this place and its staff for months... However, we had one experience that was so scary and terrible to go through that I am unable to get over it. \r \r After taking our dog here for day care dozens of times, we felt comfortable boarding her at The Dog and I for a 5-day period. When we arrived home from our mini-vacation, our dog was overly tired (completely expected). What was not expected was that she would remain lethargic for days, not even getting up to eat. Long story short, a couple of days, a few thousand dollars, and a surgery later, a large rubber object was extracted. \r \r Although I cannot be 100% certain that the accident occurred at the daycare, due to the timeline of events, I am relatively confident. However, that is not what I am upset about. I know that accidents happen. No matter what your policies are, mistakes, oversights, unknowables happen. Knowing my dog, it is not surprising that she was chewing on something that she shouldn?t have been. \r \r I talked to the owner of The Dog and I shortly after we figured out what had occurred. Obviously, I was still slightly distraught and do not claim that I was clear-minded and/or level headed. However, I did not want to place blame, all I wanted was for her to tell me that she would take this opportunity to perform refresher training for staff and ensure all policies were being strictly followed. Unfortunately, her only reply to me was that it was just impossible it could have occurred at her place of business.\r \r This event happened months ago, and after my distraught, tearful phone call to The Dog and I, I have not had one return follow up call to inquire as to my dog?s health. To be honest that is all it would have taken for me to trust them and use them again. Before this event, I thought I was so lucky to find such a great, friendly, clean place to take my dog to play. Pros: The Staff is great and truly seem to love dogs Cons: Management didn't seem to care that my dog needed surgery more

My dog loves the Dog and I. I can hardly hold him back when walking toward the door and he is always ecstatic to see the staff. They are true dog lovers and are very knowledgeable about dogs. Also, my dog is quite skittish and is usually very timid of other people, but they knew how to handle that and he took to them easily - he loves them! He must play a lot, because he is always exhausted when I bring him home (which is great if I have plans for the evening.) \r \r I've also left him for the weekend, and he did great, which was not my experience with my shy guy at other places in the past. Highly recommend! more

I have seen better doggie day cares. The dogs are kept inside, in a little pen with people outside the pen, constantly spraying at the dogs when they bark. There was not really any human interaction with the dogs. Not recommended if you have a really active dog. Cons: there is no outside and dogs are limited to being active more
