I just moved to the area from MD. I called a local vet hospital to inquire about local dog groomers for our precious pup. The young lady generously gave us Dog & Cat Shoppe to contact for a vacancy tomorrow. I thanked her and finally happy to find a new groomer, contacted the store. After several rings, a women answered and I asked if they had any possible openings tomorrow. She said, "no we don't". I said, "okay". Without offering any possible dates for next week or asking for our information in case of a possible cancellation and as I was explaining we were new to the area, she hung up in my already aching ear. Still excited and wanting assistance I decided to call back. The call was then answered by another lady. I told her I'd just called about an opening on tomorrow I know your booked, I can not find other shops online, however we're new to the area and were referred by the vet hospital. Can you possibly give us names of other shops in the N. Chesterfield area. She said sorry no she can't do that. Ok I said, but we are new residents I just wanted other store names can you help me. No was given. The lady went on to say how long the young lady who'd previously answered has worked for her and said she can't refer anybody to you. Again, I don't want any persons name just stores I can call. She went on to say I've worked here only for 30 yrs & she works for me, I don't know anyone else. Once again, I said mam I just want help with store names. Are you the only groomer in North Chesterfield. Her response, "no". I said right, so that's all I'm asking is for your help, she said NO I can't help you and I'm not giving out information. Wow! What ever happened to great communities. Ppl working together to promote one another or just a friendly neighborhood welcome. No one was taking business or income from her pockets as we've used no services yet as they're clearly booked anyway & there was no offering of making a future appt. Its sad to see how rude & disrespectful ppl. Mom died yesterday now this 2day. Hurts!
