A mechanic you can Trust! ( I won, see edit!!!!!) This place was amazing, my situation was a confusing one and these guys handled it like pros all the way. Robert was fantastic. He was so nice, so professional, and made me feel at ease. I was greeted within seconds of entering the building, there was no excessive wait at any point during my visit. Everything was laid out in a comprehensive quote, and there was absolutely no fluff, I was never concerned I was being pushed into paying for something I didn't want or need. They had an amazing waiting room with toys for kids, water, plenty of seating and more. So even if your a mom of three like me, your not stuck with fussy and bored babies. Their prices are the best in town! They are friendly, trustworthy, and their work is hands down worth every penny. Thanks guys so much for taking care of me and my family! Edit: I am editing this because it will not let me write a new review. I said in the beginning these guys were honest and trustworthy and last week I was once again proved right. They held a contest for an apple ipad 2. If you wrote a review for them your name was entered into the contest, obviously you had to be a past or present customer. Last week on Thurs I got a call, I won. I couldn't believe it and wouldn't until I was holding my ipad. Well Tues I got another call, ""it's here and waiting for you"" Robert said. I still can't believe it, and I've had it for 2 days now, an honest to God brand new, still shrink wrapped ipad 2. These guys go above and beyond time and time again, and their honesty is nothing sort of amazing. Thank you so much Doctor of Motors for everything, but especially my ipad 2! more

Never go to this place you will regret it. I took my car in to fix 2 problems but they told me it had 4 problems and decided to fix them. But it turns out they didn't even fix the original 2 problems that I took it in for. They are worthless and just assume that it's one issue without being certain. I feel like they just want to scam you off of your money and avoid actually fixing your car. Never go to this place please avoid the dishonestly more

Wow. What a great experience. I drove right on in, was greeted immediately by Miguel Lugo, who is extremely friendly and helpful, and headed over to the waiting room while everything was taken care of for me. I went in for a smog, oil and brake check. Miguel knew all the DMV procedures, so I just handed over my car and my paperwork and he took care of everything. I was in the waiting room maybe 30 minutes or so when they called me out to collect my car and completed paperwork. I thought the pricing was very reasonable and there were no add-ons or surprises. Felt like I was in and out in a flash. I was extremely pleased with the experience. more

So glad I found these guys when I first moved to Chico six years ago. They've been helping me out with my Pathfinder, which probably shouldn't still be running, more times than I can count. One of the last times I went in, they were super busy, but still stopped and checked it for me. The most recent visit was yesterday, and my care barely rolled in about and hour after closing for them. They fixed my alternator and got it back to me today. Great guys and always remember your name. more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND...I have brought my Saturn in twice and the staff at Doctor of Motors have been amazing. They always have a smile on their face and take the time to thoroughly explain what is wrong with the car and what they need to do to fix it. They give you recommendations on what needs to be done and lets you decide what is right for you and your budget. I would definitely bring any of our cars there for needed repairs. more

My car is 16 years old, and I was tired of paying dealership prices for everything. I saw Doctor of Motors's ad, so I went there and asked questions. Doctor of Motors is much better priced. Now I have been using them for about a year. The first time I went in there was for a rear signal light that didn't work. They found a small leak in my transmission line. The dealer was way out of line for the price comparison. In my car the exhaust is next to the transmission line, so over time it made a leak. They were able to fix it. They have also done an oil change and check up. They don't just change the oil, they check all over the vehicle and show me what is wrong. I'm old enough not to be taken, and I believe them. When I had my brakes fixed by them he told me something I didn't know. I didn't have to change the brakes all over, he just fixed what was necessary. For the front brakes he didn't need to change the pads but only needed to do something with the suspension. He has also told me that overall my car is in good shape. When I asked him about steam cleaning the engine, he told me not to do it as it may start a leak somewhere. I feel that they are very honest, and whatever service they have done so far has been working fine. They back up their work. If there was something that wasn't working, I know that if I went back they would take care of it. I was also impressed because they use NAPA parts, which my son says are the best. I can sit in the waiting room if I want, and I can see what they are doing. They are personable people. I feel like they are trustworthy, which is the biggest thing, and I like them very much. Everyone at Doctor of Motors was very, very nice. They did a good job, and the work was great. It was my first time using them. They redid my brakes and rotors. I would recommend them to anyone needing anything done. They are really nice people and did a good job. more

I have been going to Doctor of Motors for about five years. They provide same-day service, which is awesome. I have brought my truck in there a number of times. I have an older 95 truck that always has problems and they usually turn around the same day. And, they are very accommodating. They give me rides back to my house. Only once did they need more than a day to get the work done and that was a rare problem that they were able figure out. Their service is good. They check in on you a few days later to make sure everything is working. I like them. Brett Stone more

I have been using Doctor of Motors for 8 years and continue to use them because of their honesty. They have worked on 2 different cars for me, a Honda and a Prius. I like Doctor of Motors. They are nice and friendly. Most mechanics don't take the time to explain the problem; they just tell you the problem and that they are going to fix it. Doctor of Motors does. If I have any questions I can ask Brad, or Miguel, or anyone, and they will tell me. I have been using them for about a year and everything works well when they fix it. The service is really excellent, you wouldn't go wrong going there. more

Doctor of Motors has worked on my car for years, probably 6 or 7 years, and what I like is how thoroughly they go over everything. They completely explain what is going on and then present me with my options. They have really put a lot of time and effort into my car. After they have worked on something for me, everything works wonderfully. One time my son took his car to them, and after it was done it still had a small problem, but they came to get the car and immediately took care of it. The main thing thing is that they do have very good service, and communicate well with their clients. This is imperative, and rare for mechanics. I recommend them all the time. more
