I went to Dockside the last week in August 2008 for the first time since they reopened under the returned original ownership. What a wonderful surprise! Perfectly fresh fish (the haddock was incredible), delicious salads (the most tender snail salad, with great flavor, I've had in years) and a spinach salad made with garlic, olive oil and black olives that was delicious both chilled and reheated. They had an amazing selection of fine quality meats (my dad was a butcher and I KNOW my meat!) at surprisingly low prices; fresh deli items with a good assortment. The fruits and veggies were a bit higher in price than expected, but then they are a side issue, there only for shoppers' convenience when they come for the fresh fish, meats and ready to serve foods and salads, and a few cents more for bananas meant I didn't have to stop elsewhere: worth it to me !. I bought from every department, and was uniformly impressed, as was my husband (and he is an expert on fish) with freshness, taste and quality of all. I don't know what sort of bad day was going on when the previous reviewer was there, but the day I was there the employees were attentive and cheerful, accommodating in every way, and appeared to enjoy working there, and with one another, and actually were having a good time! I would recommend Original Dockside Seafood to anyone, especially those wanting to pick up ready to eat, or quickly heat and serve fresh foods on their way home from work. Welcome back, Docksiders.....I didn't realize just how much I missed you!
Pros: High quality, fresh, fair prices, good service
Cons: exiting parking area in traffic is tough
