I am sad that I no longer live in LA. Dr. Dloomy is the best dentist that I have ever been to; hands down. So good that I believe that I will actually fly out to see her every six months; yes....SHE's THAT GOOD!!! Pros: EXCELLANT SKILL, EXCELLANT SERVICE Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

I first went to Dr Dloomy on the recommendation of my brother-in-law and was suprised at how pleasant a dentist appointment could be. My family and I have been her patients for many years and have yet to have anything like the experience that I read about on this site. I guess that when you get news you don't want to hear, it can make you angry. It's too bad. She really is a good doctor! I honestly felt violated and really taken advantage of after I left Eva Dloomy's Dentistry.\r \r I realized that I needed a lot of work done, so I really was especially vulnerable when I went there. She did the examination and then left to look at the x rays, then, I swear to god, came back trying to hide a smile because she realized how much money she would make off of me. The thing is, I didn't need that much work done. I know this because when the insurance company asked her for x rays to prove what she had asked for, she just didn't send them. Because she was lying. I also asked my aunt later, who is a hygienist, to take a look at my teeth, and she confirmed that there was no way I could've needed what Dr. Dloomy said.\r \r Speaking of hygienists; their's was the worst aspect about my experience there. The whole time she lectured me, to, I think, make me think that my teeth were going to fall out so that I would buy her deep cleaning. In fact, when I refused the deep cleaning suspecting it was a scam, she continued to try to pressure me into it (I finally caved; they made me feel so guilty). Again, I asked my aunt about this later, and she doubted highly any need for this kind of treatment. Additionally, if you are thinking about going to this dentist because they're open on Saturdays, think again. Said hygienist is only there on weekdays (and is the only one who does cleanings).\r \r I chose this office because I figured it was in a nice building, maybe they were reputable? I mostly choose my dentist for convenience, both in insurance and location, so I discovered Dr. Dloomy randomly. Despite the haphazard choosing method however, I found a winner here. Dr. Dloomy is very professional, my appointments are always taken on time, and they even provide the standard but expected day-before courtesy call. The front-desk staff is hilarious too (the goofy part). They're friendly and make the brief waiting time fun. Their record-keeping methods leave a little to be desired, but otherwise I give Dr. Dloomy and her staff the thumbs up. more
