Too Loud, and Super expensive 7/8/2011

ordered Oysters, they smelled like Sewage!! so bad, we sent them back without replacing them. The hostess was in some sort of war with her boyfriend or someone, she definitely did not want to be working that night.and the waitress, ufff, super snobby, just wait till she gets old and wrinkled!! i hopes she gets treated the same way she treated us.... oh.... the chicken we ordered was DRY and Tasteless. Django, you can fool the unexperienced persons with your mediocre food, but not me. I have been in at least 10 french restaurants that were 1000 times better, and less money, and much better ambiance with no drunkards thinking they are Macho paying too much for awful Martinis !! more

Food Poisoning is NO FUN ! 7/8/2011

Went to this place to celebrate my neices birthday, we ordered pizza, and this 'seafood special'. the service was well below par, they were not happy we had our little girl with us, but we had flown in from san diego to celebrate my neices birthday, so too bad if my daughter was with us. so bad service to start with, very noisey, and the pizza was so far the worst i have ever had in des moines. so lets get to the seafood special..... gamey at the least, not great nor good, we figured fresh frozen, after all, we were in des moines. 2 hours later...BAM! She was vomiting, and had horrible diarrhea!!, so another 4 hours in the emergency room at mercy hospital with an IV in her arm, they finally let us go home.... like 4 am!! Documented by Mercy Hospital!! Food Poisoning!! people, stay healthy, stay away from centro! more

Average food, average service 6/16/2011

A few friends have raved about this restaurant, and I've eaten there twice. The menu is decent for an Italian restaurant, but nothing is terribly inventive. I ate margherita pizza on one visit, gnocchi verde another time. The food wasn't bad at all, but to be frank, it was not as great as I was told it would be. To be fair, I didn't eat any meat dishes, so perhaps their carnivorous endeavors are more ambitious. more

Decent Food...Bad Service... 3/2/2010

Snotty service. The hostess didn't say one thing to us...not ""Welcome"", ""Follow Me"", ""Enjoy Your Meal"" or ""Hello""! Our server never introduced herself! Her greeting to us: ""You guys want a drink?"". The next couple to sit down next to us was treated differently than us...""Hi, my name is so and so. How are you tonight?
