Diversions Needlepoint

I had memorably fantastic service here. I had been looking for a spool of DMC metallic thread that I could not find online or at any of the craft chain stores. I went in here on my last hope of finding it. The three ladies greeted me cheerily, and instantly went to work to find my thread. One went immediately into their stockroom, one searched online, and the other kept me entertained while I waited. Not only did they have what I needed (I ended up waiting only a couple minutes), I also learned that they have the largest selection of Mill Hill beads than any other needlepoint store! They also have adorable, original craft kits for the holidays. Diversions has been at this location for a long time, and I will be their customer until the day they close their doors. I experienced old-school customer service that is so rare now. The ladies are courteous, hilarious, know their stuff, have EVERYTHING you need, and you walk out the door feeling valued as a customer. Worth every penny. more

Definitely do not agree with a previous review that complained about the over-zealous service. I went in trying to find a specific canvas and I don't think I would have found what I wanted without help. While it's pretty well organized, the store has a gazillion canvases and so cannot possibly have the space to display them all. Turns out the one I bought was tucked away in a folder. The staff knew their inventory well, though and pulled it out for me when I described it to them. The staff members are only trying to help, I think, and to shoot them down for being nice makes you wonder if someone got out of the wrong side of the bed that morning :). I've had nothing but great experiences there and would strongly recommend it as the best place in Denver for needlepoint and specialty threads. They know their stuff. more

If you enjoy needlepoint this is the place for you! They have an excellent selection and endless services such as custom painting, finishing, and classes. The staff is extrememly helpful and interested in the projects their customers are working on. They are top notch for sure! more
