Paid for visual and air fill, but No air, ruined trip. 4/15/2011

Years ago i purchased a used tank from D.R. used it for a year then it needed hydro testing, they sent it for testing, lost it, then I had to dish out $100 more for a new tank, no biggy, the new tank was bigger. \r Earlier this week on Monday I think, I had to get a visual inspec on the new tank and get it filled. They did the visual, but didn't fill the tank. I was checking my equipment for tomorrow, Wow, not air. So my day is ruined while I wait for them to open so I can get filled. Unprofessional, lazy, and poor service as usual. But everybody is nice. Mean while I got friends waiting on me for something I though I had taken care of. more

My husband and I have been diving with Divers Reef for 6 years now. We love our equipment and the expert knowledge that the staff has to help us with our purchases. Just purchased a pair of Seawing Nova fins and they work great.\r Josh and Tiffany have set up many dive trips for us that have been fun ,stress and problem free. We have attended many classes to futher our education. I would recommend this shop for beginners to expert. more

Great Dive Shop with Friendly Staff!!! 10/11/2010

The friendly and knowledgable staff at Divers Reef has gone above and beyond what they needed to do. Every question I had was answered thouroughly and honestly by the staff! \r \r Also, I had my dive computer die on me a few days before my trip and the staff allowed me to borrow one of theirs for my trip while mine was being fixed at no charge. This way I was not computerless on my dive trip! more

A pleasnt introduction to SCUBA 8/31/2010

On the contrary to the other review, our experience was simple and more fun than I expected. My husband and I arrived promptly at our 11am appointment, our instructor was ready to go, and so were we. We went over safety guidelines, signed a waiver, and went off to put on what equipment we were able to on our own. The rest I had no idea how to put on, so once I was proper, they assisted in putting all the pieces in the right place. I must say jumping in with all of the equipment on was scary at first, but once you realize you've been underwater, breathing for a few minutes, its exciting! I feel comfortable now with beginner Scuba and hope to take what I learned to the ocean once day! Teach me more! more

Scheduling Flakes 6/11/2010

If you want a pleasant introductory diving experience do not use Diver’s Reef. Twice my wife and I showed up after scheduling a class a week in advance, once over the phone and once in-person, and this company can’t keep its schedule straight. Would you trust them?\r Diver’s Reef in Colorado Spring is the most unprofessional business I have interacted with. My wife and I have never been on a diving excursion. We had contacted Diver’s Reef to attend an introductory dive class. We had scheduled a week in advance on a Saturday morning and found a babysitter for our two year old. When we arrived the attendant noted that we had not been placed on the schedule and there were no instructors available. The attendant did attempt to call instructor’s short notice, once it was noted that we had a babysitter. He then apologized and told us that he would personally give us an intro lesson when we scheduled. I few hours later, I called to schedule the following Friday (today) at 9am. I understood the normal operating hours were from 10-6, but we had taken our son to pre-school and pick him up by 12 and I had taken the day off work. The attendant understood the time constraints with pre-school and noted that he would come in at 9am for the lessons and stated that he was putting us on the schedule. My wife and I arrived at Diver’s Reef at 8:50am and waited until 9:20 am again, this company was a no show\r Pros: None - there no shows did not allow for ""pros"" to be seen Cons: Twice were no shows for an intro class more
