These posts are all so sad. My husband and I used Steph for our wedding in September 2004 and we look back with such great fondness on the work he did, his professionalism, and all the incredible memories he captured for us. To this day, we talk about him and our videographer/DJ as some of the highlights of our big day. To hear that so many people have had such painful experiences breaks my heart. I'm so sorry to all of you that are going through this! I don't know what happened to Steph and I can't begin to speculate. I wish you all well and hope that Steph can get things back on the right track - both ethically and professionally. more

I have also attempted to contact Steph for my Wedding Album. I have not heard back. I was also wondering if there were any updates on contact information for Steph? Any help would be wonderful. I am a little upset as he and his assistant were great, my pictures are beautiful. I know it's been 2 years since our wedding, but I have finished my book and would really like to finish the contact. All ideas are welcome. more

It sounds as though my wife and I are in the same position as most people, as it has been over two years since our wedding and Steph as not delivered our contracted deliverables. We have filed a grievance with the PA Attorney General. I have called the phone numbers posted on this site, but have not received calls back. Does anyone have an update on their legal actions against Steph? Thanks and good luck to us all. more

Do not use this company! It was been almost 2 years since our wedding and have paid him in full almost 2 years ago and still have not received our album!! He does not return phone calls and if he does call months later, always has an excuse for not returning emails or phone calls!! We are currently looking into a lawyer and have posted our story on a website that goes to all the local news stations. The many other couples who have had this problem should post your story also (goes to all local news stations) so perhaps we could get help on either getting our money back or get our pictures we deserve! He took on many new accounts without delivering the product to those newlyweds who have already paid him in full!! This is unfair and extremely unprofessional to say the least. *Update 10/23/2010 OK, here is my latest update. Over the last 2 months Steph has been in contact with us, but only after about 25 phone calls (per day)...yes I'm going to get these photo's. We have been told he has the photo's but ""shipping"" delays prevented him from putting it together and meeting us as planed at noon today. Last night at 10:30pm, he called left a message that he couldn't make the meeting on Saturday and promptly turned off his phone off. Then my 5 calls today w/messages have gone unanswered. I've so had it with this man and the pain he has caused. To those of you who he owe's photos too all I can say is keep calling the numbers...717-201-6972 seems to be the one he always has on him. He works second shift now so its before 2pm or after 10:30. He owe's us photo's or money so no shame in calling him after 10:30pm.... Good luck to us all! *Update*9/23/2010 After calling Steph about 70 times and mentioning I was stopping over at his house he called back and mentioned he has a job now and was paid today, and is paid every other Thursday. He again promised like he has 10 times before that we would get our album ""right"" away. Post your contact into in this forum. Another couple is suing him, and they need our info. I've already spoken with Holly and you should all do the same. I've learned that he was still booking weddings months after he told us he wasn't working or was in the hospital so its all been lies....just want our completed album or money back so we can move forward!!!!!! Thanks for messing up my memory of our wedding with your fullish deeds Steph.... *Update* 6/29/2010 After this post Steph did call us and agree to have the album to us by 6/4, clearly that didn't happen or we wouldn't be posting. I just got off the phone with him(6/29) were I was informed I would see the corrections tonight online. He offered up no excuse for not calling us back other than he was working and busy for 20+ days of no calls. If you guys all want to go in on a lawyer post your contact info since its been suggested the civil courts don't work for this type of issue. I have been married almost 2 years now (September 2008) too....must have really been a common bad time for him as I am reading! I have tried e-mailing him and calling him and he never responds to anything. I entered a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they said he never responded to their requests either and that they couldn't really do anything. My husband finally got a hold of him the other day and his first excuse was a bad economy but I don't understand that because we paid ""in full"" for our package, it isn't our fault he spent it on other things and now cannot afford to do the albums. My husband explained this to him and then his next excuse is that he has been sick.....yeah sick for two years?? Not buying that one either!! It makes me sick to my stomach that people get away with this kind of business! I wish I would have researched his business more before choosing him for one of the most important parts of my life. Those are memories you can never get back and it would be really nice to have an album to look at once in a while, but that is obviously not going to happen!! I just wish there was a way to save others from the same mistake! Always do your reasearch I guess is the only thing you can say! PLEASE DO NOT TORTURE YOURSELF!! I ordered and paid for our engagement pictures and have yet to see them. Luckily i have cancelled him and booked a reputable photographer. He does not respond to phone calls or emails. He is completely unprofessional. I have spoken to several of his clients and everyone has said the same thing His excuse is the economy...It can't be that bad because he has an extra $500 from me from my deposit. We will be married 3 years this March, and still have not received all of our wedding package that we paid up front for. He worked very hard at our wedding, but after we were extremely disappointed. We had to send a letter indicating a lawsuit to his front door for him to call us and complete 1 of 2 parents albums. We have yet to receive the 2nd parent album that is already paid for. He will not return any phone calls unless we threaten legal action, and then he uses some poor excuse about the troubling economy for not getting the album done. Extremely unprofessional. I would never recommend this company. My daughter has been married for over 2 years and has yet to receive her wedding album. Our calls and emails are never answered. No on ever answers their phone. Cons: Extremely poor customer service more

Terrible customer service. Completely unprofessional. The pictures turned out great but we were missing all of the family pictures. We did not receive a copy of our contract until the actual day of our wedding. We tried for months to get an engagement picture but did not receive one until the day of our wedding. When we hired Steph, he promised that he would be the main photographer at our wedding along with a secondary photographer. Instead, he sent two other photographers in his place. After waiting 2 months to get just our proofs, we ended up with the most important pictures missing! Do not waste any of your time or money hiring this photographer! I have been trying to get a hold of him from 3 weeks, calling every day and he has not once answered the phone or returned my phone calls. He owes us money and is ignoring that fact. I will soon be married 2 years, and still have not received my wedding album from Steph. The pictures and proofs turned out great. But, the ignoring a client just because they have already paid isn't cool. No returned phone calls or emails. I would avoid doing business with them at all costs. Pros: Pictures were great! I got double the photos I was promised and they were all incredible. They are artful and tasteful. Every moment of my special day was captured for me to remember. The album was incredible as well. Pros: I received more photos than promised and they were Beautiful Cons: Couldn't find any more

I am so pleased with our wedding photos from Steph and Lisa. Steph is an amazing man with a wonderful team of photographers. Our photos are amazing!!! He was everything he said he was and more. Steph did exactly what I wanted and then some. I would recommend to anyone! This was a previous post of mine and I've now realized how wrong I was. My husband and I got married September 2008. We still have YET to get together with Steph to order our albums, that we paid for. We also didn't receive our engagement photos that were to be included in our package. I'm very sorry to those that have taken my positive review and used him. When that review was posted he was everything I said however, everything that I have read on here is coming true for us. We have been calling him for months and received 2 return calls but we were not available to answer at that time (seems to know just when to call, during work hours!) We shall see if he calls us by Monday at 5 pm before we look into legal action. We paid entirely too much money to be treated like this! DO NOT BOOK THIS MAN FOR YOUR WEDDING! He took forever to return our proofs and even longer (about 7 months) to return our completed album. He had some lousy excuse every time I would get in touch with him as to why he was not finished with the album. Also, on average, he would only return 1 out of every 5 phone calls I would make to him. He is extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend him to anyone. I finally had to threaten him with a lawyer for him to finally get my completed album to me. Pros: Pictures a okay. Cons: Does not get back to you with finished product FOR A LONG TIME!!!!! more

Distinctive Images by Steph does not follow through on providing the items they are being paid to provide. After almost two years since my wedding we still do not have every item we paid for in our contract and the company will not return our calls to advise when we will be receiving the items. Pros: The pictures are great. Cons: Not all goods paid for are given to the consumer. more
