Disney-Mgm Studios

Throughout the years I have been to all the theme parks offered by Disney World except MGM. So this was our choice for May 2,2006. We left early so as to beat the heat of the day and ended up having to wait for it to open. Although we were at the head of the line it didn't take long for zillions of people to come out of nowhere. Once inside, everyone diverted in different directions. My hubby got such a kick out of a San Franciso Back Board which appeared surprizingly real from a distance. Of course I had the camera on constantly. We toured the land of America lot before deciding to go on The Great Movie Ride. In that area He noticed a stage for "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire" and being that that is his favorite show we made sure we got in there also. Its so neat because anyone can end up in the hot seat and you play for prizes, not money but you can win a disney cruise for up to 4 people. We went in the game show more than once. I wanted to see the Aerosmith roller coaster ride, not go on it but view it. Yes, I was scared (LOL). We had a chance to see just about everything and its not that big of a theme park. By 2 pm the sun drove us to leave but we have plentiful good memories of this visit!!! more

MGM Studios is one of the four theme parks in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It is the movie park and is my favorite of all the parks. This park is clean, well maintained and well run. Top rides here are: Tower of Terror and Rock and Roller Coaster. The top show not to miss is Fantasmic- it is spectacular. MGM is home of my favorite Disney restaurant as well, The 50's Prime Time Cafe- if you eat there, don't forget to keep your elbows off the table. Make sure MGM is at the top of your list! more

This is a terrific WDW theme park! There is a ton to see and do, even if you are not there for the rides! The shows are great -- Fantasmic is something you have to see to truly appreciate. The character meet and greets are great as well -- they have a wide variety of characters, from Stitch to the Power Rangers! more

My family really enjoyed Disney's MGM Studios. Our family found the rides to be more thrilling than most of the ones at The Magical Kingdom. They especially enjoyed the Tower of Terror and Rock 'n Roller Coaster. The live action shows were saw were ok but I did not find them outstanding. The highlight of the day was definitely Fantasmic. This show was packed. We had special seating because of purchasing the dining/show package. Because we attended during the non-busy season this was a waste. Even those in the reserved section must arrive very early to get a good seat. The package limited the meal choices at the restaurant and although the food was great it we would have preferred full menu choices. If you are going during a busy time I would certainly purchase the package but otherwise don't waste the money. As with everything Disney does, MGM Studios is perfectly themed and decorated. My family really enjoyed the day there and some even went back to hit a few rides again and go on some they missed. more

MGM Studios is Disney's movie themed park. While it is not my favorite park at WDW, it is excellent. Tower of Tower is AMAZING even you do not like thrill rides. The details are superb. Fantasmic is worth staying for, but arrive early (and bring cards or something to pass the time). There is somethings for all ages from the toddlers (Disney Playhouse) to those nostalgic for old Hollywood. more
