Discovery Place For Little

I owe Discovery Place a i huge amount of thanks. Most center would have put my daughter out when they found out my ccis was cut off. But not them. they allowed my daughter to get a scholarship and to still attend even though i owed them money. i was able to pay it off slowly but surely. what other school do you know that would do that. none! my child loves her school! my only problem was the staff turnover and the director told me thats because she wants the right people in her business, she wants teacher. which i can understand. believe me when i say that your child will learn here and they are not heartless people, they work with you anyway they can. if you have questions they answer. if you need someone to talk to they listen. if you have a concern the address it. great school 4 stars. and now with the new playground and walls 5 stars. more

I love this school! My child has been attending for a little over a year now and has grown sooo much. My son's teacher gives me a report daily of his progress however before I can ask him about the things in which he did for the day he is joyfully telling me ALL that his day consist of. \r \r He runs to his teacher every morning and hates to leave when I come to pick him up. The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to teach! \r \r The Discovery Place way is the only way for a great daycare experience for your child. more

I honestly am surprised by the way the children are treated here. I had to question if the women actually like children. All day you hear, ""Get over here. You know what, I don't like you!"" There is nothing educational done all day & children aren't encouraged to speak. ""Children must be seen & not heard"" One teacher poured ice cold bottled water on sleeping children because they fell asleep before nap time. The children's clothes were wet for the rest of the day. I'm also bothered by the fact that the children are encouraged to go to the bathroom literally in front of everyone. They have no privacy. As for lessons in the center, I didn't see anything that aligned with the PA Standards. This is a terrible environment for children since all children hear all day is them being yelled at. Positivity is nowhere to be seen. I have a feeling Chris Brown may have attended this place as a child. This place gets 0 stars more
