Discovery House Childrens Museum

This museum is really special. It is very large and they have tons of stations to keep the children busy. This museum is hands on and the kids really seem to enjoy that. there are a lot of pretend exhibits. The kids can pretend to be a anchorman (or woman), shopping at a grocery store, being and astronaut, as pirate and tons more. They have science incorporated throughout so they kids really learn a lot. They parking is good and the location is central. The prices are very reasonable and there are coupons floating around. they also do parties and have a cute gift shop. more

My friends and I take our childen here at least once a month in the winter time. It's a great hands on place for kids, very easy to get too, right off of Route 18 and there's tons of parking. Inside there are various sections for the kids to play with, to really let them have fun and yet teach them things also. There's a news station, an astronaut section, a great kitchen diner section, plus the adorable farmer's market. My son loves to "shop" and then go cook dinner in the kitchen. In the back there are lots of fun water games to play with, and they even provide smocks for the kids. I love the dinosaur theme room and the pirate ship is a big hit with all the kids. We always stop to do some arts & crafts too. Highly recommend! Love this place! more

Although there are a lot of cool things for kids to do here I would not suggest bringing any child through these doors. the place is very dirty and all the toys and activities are old. Everything shows the years or wear and tear and nothing gets replaced year after year. I would never suggest this place to anyone. more
