Allergy relief in a delicious cup of tea! 10/1/2013

My boyfriend and I are regular customers at both locations of Discover Teas. We stopped in to replenish our supplies of our favorites, and I happened to mention that I recently had to go to urgent care because I couldn't stop coughing and had severe chest tightness with allergies. I had been drinking ginger tea at home to try and open up my airways and it did help some, so when it was suggested that I try their DecongesTea, I figured it couldn't hurt so I bought a bag. It worked like a charm! I brewed a cup and got relief just from inhaling the steam. After about a week of drinking it I went from using my inhaler every four hours, to once every few days, if at all. I can't recommend it enough! more

Discover Teas: West Coast Girl's New East Coast Favorite!!! 9/3/2013

I was fortunate enough to have a personal chat with Kenneth, here on the West Coast, about Discover Teas and all they have to offer! Shortly after our discussion, I placed my first order. I was thrilled at how quickly I received my order and even MORE excited when I found a sample of something we discussed. Kenneth is extremely knowledgeable regarding teas/herbs and blends and had some GREAT recommendations for me! The Long Island Strawberry Green, Black n Blue Monk and Peach Apricot are all great hot, but even more phenomenal ICED! Trouble sleeping? You MUST try the Sleepeeze. He was NOT kidding when he said it would give a great night sleep! It truly worked and without the sleep-med "fog hangover" the next day! Goodbye Teavana...hello Discover Teas! My new favorite! Thank you Ken, for the time spent guiding me through your beautiful tea selection. I'm placing my next order NOW! :) more

such generosity of spirit! 8/18/2013

Williamsburg is an annual trip for me and my family and I was intrigued to see an ad for your store in our bundle of promo literature. I stopped in with my five year old son Luke, my 18 year old nephew and his friend hoping to find some good tea. My expectations were surpassed one hundred fold! Ken was so warm and welcoming. The selection of teas was phenomenal. The experience of sitting down and talking tea while smelling endless varieties was heavenly. Ken even dealt with my son who was getting porky toward the end, giving him a toy from a little basket behind the counter. Needless to say, the tea I purchased was spectacular and I've been enjoying it every day since. You now have a customer for life and I'm already looking forward to next year's visit. Thank you so much for sharing your passion and kindness with me and my family! more

Tea Nirvana in Virginia! 4/23/2013

Discover Teas is pure delight for tea lovers both serious aficionados and casual fans. The people who work there are incredibly knowledgable and clearly love what they do. The store is a great place to spend an afternoon, exploring the dozens of teas and blends and tasting sample cups. They will also make custom blends based on a customer's preference and the results are amazing. I have bought about a dozen teas there over the past year and I love them. Anyone visiting the Williamsburg/Newport News area who enjoys tea should definitely stop by - Discover Teas is a very special place. more

Tea lover's heaven 4/18/2013

This was my second visit to Discover Teas. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I told them what kind of teas I like and they recommended other flavors that I might like. I have to say, their recommendations were excellent. I highly recommend the Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose Festival tea (the aroma is enough to get even the pickiest tea drinkers to try it). I always make it when I'm entertaining and its always a hit. more

Great place to learn and enjoy tea 3/25/2013

I always try to stop by and restock my tea when I am in Williamsburg. Here they truly enjoy educating and sharing tea knowledge. It is nice to go to a place and have a non-corporate feel while relaxing. more

For a while I've been learning more about loose leaf teas and how best to prepare them. This beautiful shop has everything you need. I felt like a kid in a candy store shopping there was such fun. more

chris thank you for your excellent service , i will continue to recomend you and discovery teas. the peace and harmony works so well, my hot flashes /night sweats are gone, as long as i continue to drink this tea ,thank you sooo much. i also have recieved the dream angle tea for my daughters migraines, time will tell on that one. love your sight, :) more

Local Loves DiscoverTEAS!! 3/22/2013

I've been a neglected tea lover for years and could not be more pleased with the selection offered at DiscoverTEAS. The house blends are outstanding. Ken even created one just for me (to alleviate headaches!). He is so knowledgeable and helpful!! Love the staff, service, and of course the products! Thank YOU, DiscoverTEAS! Discover Teas is my cup of tea! 3/21/2013

While on vacation I saw an ad for Discover Teas. I spent at least a half hour in the store smelling and sampling all the varieties of tea. The shopkeeper was very knowledgable and patient with me. I fell head over heels for the cream earl grey. I walked out of the tea shop a little poorer in my pocketbook, but so happy. While back home in NH I have ordered on line from Discover Teas. The shipment was fulfilled quickly, and what a nice surprise to find an extra free sample of tea in the box! Thanks, Ken, for your excellent products, backed up by your superior service. You have a customer for life! more

I LOVE THIS PLACE & I DON'T EVEN LIVE THERE 3/20/2013

I love all the teas and tisanes that I have ordered---especially the jasmine puehr, and the Dragonwell, then there is the Year of the Dragon, and the peppermint and the spearmint, and the pai mu tan, and the...oooo...dark rose tea and the King Hsuan Oolong.....as you can tell--I like nae love these teas! So much that I only have a cup of coffee maybe once every two weeks--I am a true convert after years of really being into coffee (espresso--the real stuff). This is the best tea--quality-wise and taste-wise. Customer service cannot be beat. Love you all! more

Lovely teas, lovely shop, lovely people. 3/16/2013

I have been to your shop in Williamsburg and was delighted to find there was a shop in Port Warwick. I stopped by with a friend today and enjoyed the company of your knowledgeable staff. Your tea selections are wonderfully fragrant. We purchased a few of our favorites and are looking forward to returning just to enjoy tea in the comfy lounge. more

We discovered Discover Teas while visiting Williamsburg and spent a delightful morning learning more about tea than I ever imagined. I came home with 3 varieties and am thoroughly enjoying them, especially the arthritis blend. I will be visiting the web site often! more

For those that are serious about tea, this is the place to shop! 3/13/2013

I absolutely loved both the expert treatment and special tea blends that I obtained at the Williamsburg store. The gentleman there with herbalist experience made a custom blend for me to help with sleep, and sure enough, it has been working fabulously! I also appreciate his expert level help in getting some tea questions answered. I really like the selection of both teas and accessories at the store, as well as the nice sitting room with wi-fi. The various black, green, and herbal teas are really quality and nothing like the ones found in grocery stores. For those that are serious about tea, this is the place to shop. more
