Discount Tropical Fish & Pond Supplies Owner

Good: Knowledgeable, great fish selection, good prices, Honest, helpful, caring owner and husband Have incorporated mailbox, inkjet and dog grooming since change of ownership from when i was a kid and over past few years. Can buy flake food buy the ounce, have what seemed resonable prices on filters, pumps and other needs and a good selection.. Bad: Looked more like a postal service when I walked in, I think fish area getting (another/more) re-vamping. Improvements: more kept up tanks, if they are never busy(as per comments in seen on comp) they should have more time to beautify the aquariums and organize the shop. Other: Have been going there all of my life and was a needy customer a few years ago when getting my newer fish tank going, saw a good learning/working relationship between new owner and previous owners. Also have seen the rearangement of tanks and shop, so i am sure it is a continual work in process. Like I mentioned, they will satify customer and are very gracious, knowledgeable and considerate. This store is located right on La Habra blvd, and there is very limited parking out front and very limited parking in the back. The good thing is that its very rarely so crowded, that you won't find parking. (Just be careful getting out of your car~the other cars fly by!) Inside, you will find row after row of fish...saltwater and fresh water. The tanks are always super clean, which is nice. They have a large selection of fish. I think their prices are reasonable, if not inexpensive. They also sell a limited selection of birds, some turtles, small animal food (rabbits, birds, etc), fish aquariums, plants, etc. The customer service is good...they are friendly and helpful. more
