Discount Tire Ctr

I have been dealing with Discount Tire Centers for at least 20 years, buying tires, having alignment work carried out, and brake work, too. The cars have been French (Peugeots), Swedish (Volvos), German (Mercedes), American (Cadillac) and Japanese (Toyotas). Vic (one of the owners) and his crew of professionals have forgotten more about their trade than other so-called professionals claim to know. I have never had a bad experience with their products and service over the many years I've done business with them. I am a recently retired teacher from El Monte and all of my colleagues whom I've referred to Vic have been treated royally. I've read some of the other negative reviews and cannot believe that they were not all written by the same grumpy customer. Don't give any weight to the poor reviews; they don't reflect the true value of this well-run business. more

I went to get an alignment at this place and told him i had a 3 year plan. He said my Tires were too wore to be aligned and i needed to buy new ones.( i would like to add that he never looked at my tires.) I asked the owner what would be charge me. \r \r He said $345 with services. I told him i'll check around. He raised his voice and told me that if i do get any tires elsewhere he would make me wait 5 hours before he would do an alignment for me. He was very rude and his services are very poor. \r \r DO NOT GO TO HIM even if his prices are better then other places. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! more

I drive a 99 Toyota Corolla and went to this place to replace a tire on March 2007. They found my brake was in bad condition which I let them do a complete front disc and rear rotor replacement. They promised to use genuine parts and charge full price for it. After 6 months, I heard squeaking noise everytime I step on the brake. Took my car to another shop in Rosemead (referred by another victim of this place) and found the front disc has multiple steak lines which new disc should not have. The pad on rear rotor was wearing unevenly which is a classic sign of bad and definitely none genuine part. They are very dishonest and I would never go back. more
