Discount Muffler & Brake

It is to bad that they don't do tune ups, oil changes, brakes. But what they do do I would recommend. They gave me a quote and documented the additional parts they needed. Got the work done on time. I guess in a mechanic that's a lot to expect. . more

Went to Big-O on Mission at 6th because they are close and do my tires. They said I need my front and back brakes and roters replaced. Took that at face value, called up Discount Muffler & Brake and told them this is what I needed. They gave me an estimate that was $200 cheaper so I took it to them. Just dropped it off in the morning before work and slid my key through their slot. They called me later and said they didn't think I needed my rear brakes replaced, they it was true I had only 40% left, but that would probably last me years. I can't remember ever getting any car work done where I told them what I needed and they tried to convince me I needed less work! Ended up saving over $500. Plus, they do free inspections (unlike Big O which charged me $50 for the privilege). -Rich more
