Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story on Stage

I have only seen the film once on video, my mum showed me and I thought it was okay but she took me to the stage show and I was overwhelmed. This is truly the best show I have seen. The dancing is incredible the girl that plays Penny unbelievable and the ensemble dancers are hot. But the thing I like best about the show is that it is a really good story, it has terrific music and it is not boring. So many times I go to the theatre and I think boring boring boring, but this show has got pace, laughs and is totally sensual! I saw Dirty Dancing in the early performances in Chicago and really wasn't sure what to expect as I had heard that the music wasn't live and it wasn't a proper musical. I have to say, being a big fan of the movie, i wasn't sure how they were going to put it on stage without losing some really key moments. i was so delighted to see that they have taken all the best bits of the film and made them better! most of the music is live and time of my life sounded better than the original when performed live! the music which isn't live is also great as using the original recording really takes you back to the first time you saw the movie. the dancing is AMAZING. and the cast are perfect! i watched the movie again the other day and really missed seeing the extra scenes which they have added to the show. Anyway, highly recommend seeing this show. It is the best show I have seen in Chicago! more

For all you fans of Dirty Dancing, you will not be disappointed. For folks who have never seen the movie, Dirty Dancing still delivers a solid night of entertainment! HOT dancing, amazing sets - visually stunning. Highly recommend this one! I went with a group of couples and the men had just as much fun as the women - this show is a great ladies night out or date night. more

The dancing in this show is breathtaking and the plot takes you on a thrill ride through Baby's life. You'll love all the characters and leave the theatre wanting to go back for more.
