Most compassionate, professional and thoughtful vet office! 2/7/2013

This place is wonderful. The staff is great. My dog is remembered and greeted tenderly every time we go in. They offer curb-side service if you cant get in on your own, and will send you a personalized condolence card, signed by the entire staff (!!!) when your critter reaches the end of his/her life, in a respectfully timely manner. Ive never seen anything like it. Their prices are reasonable and their treatment of pets and people is better than Ive ever had. You cant go wrong here. more

We love Magazine Street Animal Clinic 2/5/2013

When I first moved to New Orleans in 2006, I tried out different vet practices to find the best fit for my dog and me. Dr. Scott and Dr. Teresa are kind, consummately professional, and uber-competent. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The entire team is caring and sensitive. As my dog has aged and encountered more health issues, Dr. T has helped me to understand my dog's changing needs and has generously given her time after hours and on weekends to explain the veterinary research literature and help me map treatment. I can't imagine how unhappy my dog would be without his friends and caretakers at Magazine Street Animal Clinic. more

Wonderful, caring, compassionate, and fulfilling 2/5/2013

Briefly, I received a dog who was malnourished and Magazine Street Animal Clinic was able to help me get her healthy. They were sympathetic of the fact that there was not a lot I could do. They were compassionate and helped me keep the cost down. It was just a great experience. more

Overall, they are compassionate and worth every penny I've spent there. 2/5/2013

From everyday sicknesses to suregeries, each time I've been in to Magazine Street Animal Clinic, all the staff has been wonderful. The staff there are very helpful and very understanding. It's a very good clinic. more

Best vet in town 1/15/2009

Really easy to access, has off street parking behind, and very friendly staff. They're place is really clean, full of fun dog art and toys and treats you can buy for your pet. They carry a unique line of organic collars and leashes, and these great pet odor eliminating candles I love! Best, the vet is great! My dog got bit and I was new in town and they stayed after hours to meet me and take care of my dog right away. Everyone on the staff is so friendly, and they all love pets so much Pros: clean, friendly, parking, prompt more

Clean, caring, efficient, intelligent, rescues, cares, and finds homes for traumatized strays 7/16/2008

The first thing I noticed was how relaxed the animals being boarded or waiting in the spacious, clean reception area were. Obviously, the pets themselves trusted the staff and did not associate fear or anxiety with medical care at Magazine Vet. We had taken our cat to another vet who claimed she was fine, when most obviously she wasn't. Upon re-examination at Magazine Vet, Dr. Amy found a serious issue which has now been solved through her intervention. We also had another animal who needed to be anesthetized for a minor surgical treatment. Our pet was not released in a doped and groggy state and we were actually given pain killer if our pet showed signs of distress or discomfort. This was a first for us. Nothing is more horrible than knowing your pet is in pain after surgery and there is nothing you can do about it. Fees were no greater than what we've paid at other vets and the service, clinic, and treatment were top notch. Magazine Vet also accepts abandoned or stray animals for adoption. One was a kitten who had been thrown from a moving car with her litter mate. Magazine Vet cared for this kitten for several months before she was adopted. Imagine the level of care necessary for such a trauma. We are looking to adopt our 4th cat from Magazine Vet because we know that strays who are given loving care adapt well when adopted into multiple pet homes. Ask for Dr. Amy. She is enthusiastic, intelligent, and patient. Pros: see review more
