Dierbergs just opened up this store, and the clear intention here is to use specialty foods to cover for higher prices. While this focus on the exotic means that the produce section is excellent (not to mention the Krispy Kremes and Tippins pies, particularly the strawberry rhubarb which is absolutely delicious), it also means that this grocery store overcharges for much of its merchandise. It is a good place to look for an odd item from a recipe that you cannot find anywhere else, but not exactly necessary for everyday grocery needs. Don't forget to try out the self-checkout though; most people won't use it so the lines are usually small to nonexistent.
