The building from the outside looks as though it could hold Boston Garden. Unfortunately, the contents are not that exciting. Although the staff is helpful and friendly, the prices of the athletic clothes and shoes were on the expensive side. The set up of the interior of the store is also difficult to navigate, due, partly, to the whole design of the escalators leading up to the second floor. The athletic shoes seemed to be hidden in oblivion, as they are located in the rear ground level of the store, partially behind the escalators.
Dick's did, however, carry a number of items which are normally hard to find in the suburbs. There was a wide variety of tents and camping gear, such as sleeping bags, inflatable mattresses and portable cushioned seats, and they were displayed in situ, so you could see how they would be set up if you bought that model of tent. They also had a huge selection of fishing rods. These camping and fishing items, however, are located up on the second floor, in a sort of "balcony", and, due to the fact that there is an "open atrium" , you must walk all around the perimeters to get to the other side where the fish and game items are located.
