Do We Need a Sporting Goods Store This Big 6/14/2006

I mean, really, this place was once a Montgomery Ward. Now it's a sporting goods store so huge you could park an airplane in here and still have room for all of the White Sox championship wear you could ever want. Still, again, sometimes the chain stores get it right and this place generally does. If you need sporting goods, well, you might as well go the place that looks and feels like a warehouse. I haven't been disappointed in all of my visits here and when I go out I am mostly looking for sportswear and not sporting equipment. more

Mega Sporting Goods Store 4/27/2006

This store is huge. I think it used to be a Montgomery Wards. It is a really great looking store with an escalater and very cool displays. The staff is OK, the prices are fair at best on alot of items. Yes of course look for sales or get discounts to save some cash, but that's a given. Most of their items are name or designer brands that are a bit overpriced. The quality of their merchandise is first rate, but some of their products you can buy at other stores for less. Look around like I did and you will find some sporting goods and clothes that are a good buy. more

Big store 4/26/2006

As you all probably know this is a really big store that you can go around forever and ever. They have great clearance sections here and they also have specials packages for coaches here. You just go to their service desk and tell them that you want the coaches team pack and they'll give you one. You don't even need proof of being a coach for this. In the pack they have $10 off a purchase of $25 along with a lot of other coupons for you team. more

Expensive, but great selection 8/4/2005

This is really a sports superstore. It is like 3 stories high. They even have a climbing wall you can use. They have gear for everything from baseball to baskeball, running to camping, and also exercise equipment. I would not go here looking for a bargain, but the selection probably makes it worth a trip to see the many items available. more
