Dickerson Landscaping

I have contracted Dickerson Landscaping to build a patio in my backyard using Pavers as the preferred material and an arbor to provide shade to it. It started out w/a design plan that gave me a view how it would look according to my imagination. As the day went by, project-in-progress continues to enlighten my satisfaction on how the design plan and view continues to meet my expectations. Most of it all was the professionalism of each member of their staff who brought together this project in a clearly fashion visualization. Very distinguished on how well they followed the design, creative, and enthusiasm to be there. They made me feel more relax to know I was under good hands. Thanks! more

I would recommend the Dickerson Landscaping Company any day of the week. They were wonderful to work with from beginning to end. I'm what you call "horticulturally challenged", so I needed something low maintenace but that looked high maintenance. The design process was wonderful. They created a couple of different designs for me to consider, explained the different plants and what they required and then allowed me tomake a few changes, making sure that the changes were still within my limited experiencewith plants. The crew actually came out a week earlier than anticipate and had the work done within a day and a half. My landscaping looks GREAT! I can't wait to use them again when I do my backyard. We hired Dickerson Landscaping about 8 years ago to deal with a tremendous erosion problem. Dickerson and crew under the supervision of Adam came in and for 3 months - laid french drains - put in a custom cut and designed stone retaining wall and then laid a slate walkway from one end of the garden to the other. We now have a magical and secret garden in which to enjoy with our friends and family. Recently (within the past 4 months) we have started using Dickerson for our lawn maintenance and care. Our yard has never looked so good!! We get complements on how well manicured our yard looks. Chris is our lawn care supervisor, he and his team (today - it was Ethan ) give us such a professional well cared for service each and every time. We hired Dickerson Landscaping to design and replace an existing deck on the back of our home. From the moment we began the discussions with Dan Fendley and William Dickerson we were treated with respect. We set up an appointment for Dan to come to the house to see what we had and to discuss what we wanted. Within a few days they had created a couple of design plans for our review and approval. The following week, their project manager called to set up a time to begin the project. At the agreed upon time, Anthony, their project foreman and several other workmen arrived to demo the existing deck, remove and replant some mature plants that we wished to save, and began prepping the site for the new deck. Considering a couple of rain delays, we had a beautiful new deck within 6 weeks!! The craftsmanship was excellent and we were very pleased with the final product! Our situation was a mess. Our deck was separating from the house and dangerous to walk on. I hated for the kids to go out on it. We called Dickerson landscaping and set up a consult, We meet with William, and he came up with some great ideas on what we needed to do. He also had some great ideas on how we could make it better than just the typical square pattern and save some money in the process. Our new house was in badly need of some attention as our back yard landscaping consisted of nothing more than a concrete slab by our back door. We were on a relatively small budget and William (the owner) worked within our budget to design and landscape a beautiful garden and brick patio. We couldn't be happier with the quality or price and have received numerous compliments since they finished. Because we were so happy with the results, they now do our lawn care as well. The company dealt with a drainage issue that we have with our basement. Company is very professional; listened to our concerns, proposed a plan to alleviate our problems, kept us informed and completed the project beautifully. I love this company. They are so creative. We had a serious drainage problem in the our backyard. We had called out two other companies in the past only to have them waist our time and money. We really wanted someone to fix it right this time. After calling Dickerson they asked us to pay a small consult fee. I was alittle reluctant to do this, after the last two, but when they said it was subtracted from the quote; I went ahead with it. I am glade I did. Wow! They not only fixed the problem but now it is my favorite part of our yard. more

Met with Mr. Dickerson to get quote for back patio. Made mistake of not getting (and it wasn't offered in the first place) more precise square footage and an actual "to scale" diagram of what would be included in back patio. When husband met with owner, things were finally hashed out. Shouldn't have been that way. Could have been more professional. The laborers were really great guys..punctual, polite, actually cleaned up after their work. I was most impressed by the workers and their stone-laying skills. We paid about $5K for work, and it is beautiful. But, here's the amazing thing. After having dickerson's firm do the back patio work, my husband decided to add small pavers along edge of front walk himself. He needed two 8" square flat pavers cut to fit up to the driveway. Straight cuts, not curved or anything difficult. Mr. Dickerson wouldn't do it. Acted like my husband was asking for something outrageous, after hubby paid him over 5K for back patio. And hubby offered to pay him to more

I contracted Dickerson Landscaping for $12,000 to plant shrubbery, add concrete around my pool and install slate tile. The shrubbery was planted without regard to making sure all the bloom color was the same. I now have plants intermixed with different colors. They have refused to correct their error. The slate tile was being installed so poorly I had to stop them and hire another contractor to finish the job. The additional cost was covered by me. The concrete they added is now pulling away from the existing concrete, because they failed to installed anchor bolts to retain the new concrete. They won't return any phone calls or emails. They have a good sales story, their delivery is dismal. more
