The Park 'n jet lot was full, so I decided to give diamond a try. It was a mistake.\r
\r
While it was an ok experience finding a spot and getting a ride to the airport, I was dissapointed with the leaving experience. \r
\r
The first bus from the airport was full, and we were told that they were waiting there for quite a while so they could pack the bus as full as possible, instead of sending for another bus. Had to wait another 10 minutes for the next bus to arrive.\r
\r
The ""free"" carwash line was so long, that it was not worth the hassle to wait for it.\r
\r
They only had one pay booth open, so the wait to exit the lot took 15 minutes. We thought we would get a decent deal because of the buy one get one free coupon from the happenings book. However, unlike park 'n jet, we found out that diamond charges you not by the day, but by the minute. So, we got charged for the extra 8 hours and however many extra minutes we were in the lot. They do not post the fact that you will be charged this way, and they do not post the prices anywhere except when you are leaving... pretty deceptive.\r
\r
The self-serve parking is $7.50, not $6 like the citysearch page says.... still much higher than park 'n jet. \r
\r
Diamond has lost my business forever. I'll park at Park 'n Jet next time, and if they are full, I'll park at the airport long term parking.
Pros: Security, free shuttle, big lot
Cons: Price, waiting time
