On April 5, 2010 I took my car in to be detailed at Diamond Auto Detailing around 8:00 a.m. I picked the car up at 4:15 p.m. I drove it home where my boyfriend and I proceeded to look over their work. We found dog hair, coffee stains, and crumbs inside the car on the seats and floor, and the front passenger headrest was covered in black hair & dandruff. I almost puked! There was also a cob web on the back license plate. My appointment was for a complete interior & exterior detailing for $199.00, which I paid via MasterCard when I picked up the car before inspecting it. After noticing the shoddy workmanship, I immediately called Tony and told him I was unhappy with the work. I told him my seats didn't look or smell shampooed at all, along with my other complaints. All he kept saying in response was that they spent 5 hours on my car buffing and waxing the exterior. He said nothing about the interior work whatsoever. I asked him flat out if my interior was shampooed and he said yes, but I believe this to be a lie. I told him I was going to file a dispute with my credit card company if he did not refund me my money. He told me that if I was going to file a dispute, he needed to see what I was going to be disputing. At that point I drove back to the shop and showed Tony everything I had an issue with. He would not admit guilt; however, he asked if we could split the charges. He still wanted at least $100.00 for his work. I told him that I would give him no more than $75.00. He asked me to go inside where he asked for my credit card and I said, what are you going to do with it?,"" and he replied, ""anything you want me to."" At that point I reiterated that I would pay no more than $75.00 for his work, so he processed a refund on my card for $125.00. This is not how business is supposed to be done. This was my first and last experience with him. The only remorse he showed was a flippant ""sorry"" as I was walking out the door, to which I responded, ""I don't really think you are."" He said nothing in response. I just think he was sorry that someone called him out on his poor workmanship. I am disputing the full amount of $199.00 because I would still like my remaining $74.00 back, as I don't believe he was even deserving of this! I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well...the case number is 94292111 if anyone cares to look into this company more.
