I believe that their wine selections is one the best in Astoria, Queens. Stepping inside of DiWine reminds me of Paris ,where me and my wife had our honeymoon about two years ago. They offer such a great ambiance and I personally love their decor They also have a wide selection of foods and I highly recommend the Jumbo shrimp's and froie gras for appetizers. It's a place where you want to bring your family and friends just to relax, enjoy the great wine and foods, and to take a break from ones very busy life. The pizza is generally awesome! I love it! I'm not sure I'd classify this place as a ""wine bar"" - usually wine bars have a large selection of wines available by the glass, and this has the normal number of any small restaurant (about 6-8 each of red and white) - but the food is good an it has a nice atmosphere. The servers have always been pleasant and courteous, if a little slow. The only problem is the location - the place is kind of the only spot within a block or two, and there's not a lot of stuff happening on that block. it's pretty far away from the more lively parts of Steinway/30th Ave /Broadway. Diwine is a very nice place with a very cool vibe. I had a group party for my GF bday. The food is good, drinks are ok nothing crzy, service was good but very slow. The live music gave the place a nice touch. I'm comin back but with only my GF next time so the service can be faster more

The live music was surprisingly excellent! A group of us went and shared a few plates: Pizza, bruschetta, and guacamole-odd combo, I know. We were not disappointed or left hungry. Food was excellent. I've passed on DiWine many times dismissing it as just a fancy wine-sipping eatery. But a few days ago while my friends and I were walking down 31st Ave, we heard a guy singing in DiWine and stopped to listen. We had other plans but we liked this guy's voice and every single song he was performing so we decided to stay there for a little while. We ended up staying there for the eve with some quality cocktails and tasty appetizers. Totally unplanned, totally awesome! The next day we bragged about it to a few other friends and ended up at DiWine again the next night to check this guy out. He floored us with his voice, repertoire, and sound overall. We noticed that he has somewhat of a following so we asked him if he has his own cd. We're surprised that he doesn't have a record deal because he truly sounds (and looks) like a pro! He performs Fridays and Saturday nights. Kudos to the owner of DiWine for finding such a talent. So happy I found Diwine. This place is great. The food was good, but the best part for me was the variety of wines to try. My girlfriends and went the other night, we enjoyed the food, the music and of course the wine. The staff was so knowledgeable also with their recommendations of what to try. Diwine is a hidden gem of a wine bar/restaurant/lounge in Astoria. Even though it's only a block off Steinway, it truly feels a world away from the typical Astoria places. The decor is beautiful; cozy and intimate, even the bathroom was pretty, you can tell someone put a lot of thought into the details. They have a great selection of wines by the glass. I tried the Mark West Pinot Noir and thought it went really nicely with my brick oven pizza. My friend had short ribs and some kind of Shiraz and said they were excellent. I look forward to going back and trying some other items on the menu, everything sounded delicious. The staff was helpful and gave the place a laid-back vibe, they really let us relax and take our time. BEST FOOD IN TOWN! Everyone should try Diwine.It is quite possibly the prettiest,coziest place in Astoria.The staff is friendly and attentive yet not overwhelming,food more than excellent starting from focacca they serve at first and on.And there is also live music on weekends,you should hear this guy play and sing.Nice touch to an already great ambience. more

I just had a perfect date at DiWine. We were walking arround and looking for a nice place to have a drink and get something to eat. Fortunately we saw DiWine and went inside. Wow!!! Great decor, great selection of wine, awesome cheese and very, very good service. If you really want to impress your date, GO TO DiWine!!! more
