We stumbled into this little gem... our waiter Frank was very helpful in directing us to a wonderful meal. We are in Destin for a family vacation from Atlanta. We tried the Parmesan crusted grouper was AMAZING and enough to split, the Mate's platter was TOO big to finish with great shrimp, scallops and fish. the Gumbo was the best find... we even had to get a quart to go for later. We will make sure to dine here again before we leave Destin. more

The seafood is fresh, atmosphere is great and love the location on the Destin Harbor. more

Dewey Destin II is great too 4/9/2009

The Dewey Destin Harborside is their 2nd restaurant in Destin -- with the same great food and friendly service. Better yet, this place takes RESERVATIONS which makes it great for large groups. You can sit inside or out, and sitting outside you can watch the boats coming in and out of the harbor. We went on April 9, 2009 and each person in our group of 16 thoroughly enjoyed their meal and the service. Pros: Atmosphere, portions, food taste, reasonable price Cons: Small and away from street, so look close to find it more
