My friend had read in citysearch how great this place was supposed to be, so we dropped in for dessert on Friday night. We were struck by how few desserts were offered at a "dessert" restaurant. The live music was a harpist/vocalist, which would have been nice except that the volume was way too loud. The microphone seemed unnecessary in this small space, and it was very difficult to have a conversation. We ordered the apple crisp (a special), which tasted like a crushed Powerbar with walnuts on top. Usually when I go out for desset I am not looking for something to taste so "healthy". Our server never checked on us, asked us how our food was, or acknowledged us leaving, even though she was standing at the register. However, we did see someone who we assume was the owner working hard and greeting and thanking customers.
Pros: Hard working, attentive owner
Cons: Bad apple crisp, inadequate servers, music too loud
