Decent Mexican Food 8/19/2005

My wife and I went here about six months ago and though we didn't find it to be amazing, it was ok. We were at least partially turned off by one server who dropped a tray. I shouldn't hold it against the restaurant, but in the spirit of full disclosure I had to share it. Anyway, we found the food to be acceptible but not outstanding. The one thing we really liked was the ambiance. If you're looking for a somewhat romantic place to get some mexican food, this is your place. Low lights and a fireplace really make this place shine. more

If you're looking for good place to eat, look somewhere else 8/18/2005

Desperados leaves much to be desired. The food isn't that great, it comes in small portions, and everything is spicy. It is authentic Tex-Mex, which isn't my favorite, but I'm even less fond of their food. The salsa was too spicy, the food greasy, and the portions were more like an appetizer. I do not recommend tis place unless you're starving and can't wait another three blocks to find something else. more
