I am a stickler for quality & value. Most chain stores only love their giant corporate clients and are mundane to the needs of the public. With that said, let me introduce Desktop Design in downtown Berkeley. I was at Desktop Design to print handouts for my anthropology class. The staff quickly copies my job on their high-speed 100 copy-a-minute machine for the same cost of self-service. All 50 packets were neatly collated and stapled within 5 minutes of my walking in the store! Try that at the chain stores where it takes twice the time to get a copier key to start making copies! The best part though was the price! I paid exactly 66% less!! Now someone has to pay for those expensive TV commercials and it's not going to be me!! This has been the most pleasant experience I have ever had a print and copy center. The staff is very knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with. They quickly helped me print my presentation of my CD without me needing to tweak and monkey around with their self-service computer workstations. All this for the same cost of self-serve. The staff is very approachable and eager to assist customers and help them get done with their projects quickly.
