Desert Sun Tanning Salon

I resccently tanned at Desert Sun Tanning, and I was not a big fan. A friend of mine went there for years, and she recommended it. I tried it, and It was awful. It was not very clean, The sales person was not knowledgeable on anything, and I got no color. The beds are old, and i am assumming the bulbs are as well because i hadn't tanned in 4 months, and I have light skin, I went for 18 minutes, and Got no color....not even a little bit pink. I felt that when I tanned at this salon, it was a waste of time and money....I feel that the beds were very old, as well as the bulbs... I owned a tanning salon in Cherry Creek (Denver) for 12 years, and I never would have let my salon look this way. I wish someone would fix this place up, because I fear for their establishment. They were very overpriced for what they offered...I think it was about $60 for a month, and $6 for a single tan (?) This, to me, was well over priced for what was offered. I did like how there was no wait, but it seemed as my bed was cleaned, it was much too quick...Are the beds being cleaned properly?? These are questions every normal person asks themselves. I also really liked how much lotion there was to choose from. I have not been back for a few months, and I dont think I will return until I know that things have really changed. I feel that this salon was VERY dirty, but I really liked the customer service. A blonde with long hair (morning?) was very helpful. Sadly, she was the only helpful 1 i have come across yet. I got some color, mostly a burn then not much tan, I loved the selection of lotion that was offered, probably the most extensive in town, I have found great places 2 tan, and If youer looking 4 lotion, come 2 this spot. The tanning salon I was using was having power issues and I couldn't get my tans or $ ! I stopped in at desert sun and got a little red....I was satisfied. I was spending the whole 20 minutes for a tan so 12 minutes was a steal. Thanks for being there desert sun Pros: good bulbs more

Ok, lets be serious, the salon cant be that bad, (imissbali) dont go overboard. I have tanned there once, I wasn't satisfied, but bloo on the walls?? The heath service would be all over that. No, I didn't love it there, no I didnt get good results, and yes, I felt it was a bit dirty, but im sure you're more mature than to think there was bodily fluids on the walls. If you dont like it, don't tan there, simple as that. I have found a salon that I absolutely love, and it is called Planet Beach Contempo Spa. They have everything to offer. So instead of getting on this site as an angry customer, go in, tell them your concern, and tan elsewhere!! more

Desert Sun Tanning is a very clean, and fair priced. The beds are clean, the people are friendly, and my tan results are good. I have no complaints. Pros: Friendly staff Cons: not as good a tan results as i hoped more

As the manager of Desert Sun Tanning I would like to apologize for the last comments made about our salon. We terminated an employee recently and it seems as if she is bitter against us and trying to publicly bash our business. As for anybody who regularly tans at our salon you would know that the last comments made are false! As for those of you who don't know, Desert Sun is one of the oldest tanning salons in Loveland, however we do try to keep up our business. Yes, we do have purple carpet and painted walls and yes our beds are an older model, but we pride ourselves in being VERY clean. Chores are done by our trained staff on a regular basis...things like vacuuming behind beds, washing the walls, and throughly cleaning the tanning beds after EVERY use! We also take pride in our friendly and helpful staff! So if you would like to stop in and see for yourself you can mention this add and your tan is on us!! I am so glad someone feels the same way i do. I walked in and got the worst smell of mold, subway and tanning. There is no managment, zero customer service and everytime i went in to a bed there was lotion smuges all over the beb used towels behind beds and lotion splaters on the walls. I work hand and hand with the helath department and I can garantee you if they were ever to be inspected they would be shut down immediatly. Aviod tanning at desert sun at all cost!!
