Just as KirkKirk said... ""NOT the place for a new artist to shop."" I was interested in picking up a new hobby, and thought I would stop in, get information, and pick up some supplies.
Upon walking in, a few associates could be seen helping customers. There was one man, hunched over the front counter, with papers scattered about. Walking up to the counter, not knowing exactly what I was looking for, I waited to be helped... with no avail. The man barely noticing a customer was standing in front of him peered up when I said excuse me. Immediately he yelled out for one of the other associates to come help me, NOT even checking to see if that associate was available! When he realized everyone was with a customer, he was forced to help me. After waiting five minutes for him to shabbily straighten up his papers, he asked what he could do for me... I told him I wanted to start painting. In the most condescending tone he irritatedly asked ""Well, what kind of painting?""
I don't know! I've never painted, that's why I am asking for help! He would ask very vague, short questions, that I had no idea how to answer! Finally upon giving up on receiving any help from this jerk (who I later found out was the MANAGER!), I decided to just wonder around on my own. Thankfully, a young man asked if I was doing okay, and pointed me in the right direction.
You would think logically, a new customer wanting to get into a new hobby, would become a continuing customer, so you'd assume you would try your best to help the person out... ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARETHE MANAGER.
