Dengler, John M, Md - Tri-State Mountain Neurology

This note is not specific to a particular neurologist, but the group as a whole. A request was made for me for a second opinion on an abnormal MRI. I was very disappointed to learn that they declined to see me. The reason...they do not accept ""transfers"". Am I to assume that I am a ""transfer"" because I had one appoint with another neurologist? I have a good paying job, good insurance and excellent credit. It seems to me that this effectively removes one of my options when making decisions about my health care. This group was highly recommended to me...now I wonder... more

I have seen him since 1992 for narcolepsy. He diagnosed me when no one else could. I always feel that he listens to me during my appointments and is responsive to my concerns. His staff is friendly and courteous. He answers questions and always asks at the end, ""Is there anything else?"" Pros: Really listens to you & usually runs right on time for appts Cons: Doesn't take TN Care more

I lost my job and didn't have insurance..could not afford office visit to Dr Dengler for my seizure disorder which is $130.00 and up; so I canceled my appt. My seizure medicine needed to be refilled; he refused to call it in because I had canceled my appt...I explained the fact that my insurance had just went into effect from my new job and that I had left a message 2 days ago for an appt. I also explained the fact I had gone a week without my seizure medicine because without insurance the cost is $1200.00 a month...No one cared; My medicine didn't get called in to the pharmacy..This was on a Friday late in the afternoon..when there was nothing I could do about it..He only cares about money, He does not care about the person or their health at all!!!!! Cons: EMPLOYEES ARE RUDE TAKES DAYS TO RETURN CALLS more
