Yes, I have seen more modern, ""clean"" facilities, but the place is just a little old and run-down. They don't spend a lot on amenities, but the place is OK. It does not smell any worse than any other vet's office I've been to. When you have animals cages in the back of the building, do you not expect to hear barking? They obviously don't have a separate boarding ""wing.""\r

I have been taking my dogs there for about 5 years now, and the doctor is knowledgeable about their health needs. They are gentle when bl**d tests are taken and are comprehensive about ensuring shots are up to date, heartworm testing takes place and proper dental care is performed. Overall, I have nothing to complain about. I could go to a more swanky place like so many people in Chicago feel they must do, but it's inexpensive and they take good care of the animals. That's all I need.
Pros: Good care for dogs and cats, inexpensive, thorough examinations
Cons: Facilities are a little run-down - old building
