Delshire Apartments

I have a nice 2 bedroom apartment and I pay just $500 a month. For this price I was not expecting anything fancy, just a good, safe, clean place close to work. I got just that with my apartment here. Not sure what issues the previous reviewers may have had or why they needed to vent but I have no problems with my place or with the maint staff. I had a few things that needed to be taken care of and they got resolved pretty quickly. Never any water or mold issues in my place and I am in a downstairs apartment. More than likely, the complainers probably got kicked out of here. more

Plenty of "baby mama drama" to keep the local police busy (who ironically have a sub-station in the apartment complex), and slow (if any) response from management when it comes to any matainence needs. Generally a safe neighorhood, however you get what you pay for.. They claim "central air conditioning", but it really is a window unit that is placed INSIDE a closet that runs through central vents...not quite the same thing. Their website is deceiving, states "we accept pets!" - however that only means a bird or a reptile in an aquarium. Also, advertisements and website state "high speed internet ready!", however that means nothing at all, because you must call the internet provider and have it hooked up. With that description, anywhere in the US could be "high speed internet ready". A few things I have experienced: a wasps nest in my air conditioning vents (and slow response to get it taken care of), mice (four or five have been caught), and a lack of hot water at times. i would have to disagree with the 2 reviews giving it a thumbs up to live here.i have been here 3 yrs.and nothing but problem after problem. i have had several floods in my apt. never once was it cleaned and sanatized just carpet in that area pulled up and replaced, there is mold growing in the apt. i have need several things done/fixed in my apt. and after a year of asking sent maintenence over and still nothing fixed!!! i have asked to be moved out of this apt.and im told they need to inspect my apt. ok what are they going to inspect the mess that the floods have caused or the fact that the pat is falling apart because nothing is ever fixed? my family is sick non-stop and my son has asthema so the mold,and musty smell makes it wosre on him. there are leaks by the sliding doors which now has big parts of my wall falling tell me should anyone really have to live like this i think NOT!!!!and maintenece shows up just nothing ever done you hear they will be back then they are incognito.... more

I am a Mount St. Joe student and have lived at Delshire for over a year. It is a very nice place for the low rent I pay. My roomate and I have never had any problems except for a few minor parking issues that were quickly resolved. I save a ton of money living here versus dorm living! There is a security company and Delhi Police driving thru regularly and that is great peace of mind for us! Don't get me wrong, these are not fancy apartments with granite or stainless appliances but they are extremely nice for the money! more

This is a very nice complex. The neighbors are friendly, good maintenance people and it is very close to schools, shopping, food etc...Rent is very reasonable. Pros: Clean, very well kept grounds. Nice neighbors Cons: No pool more

.....Oh, how times have changed. Once a BEAUTIFUL complex in the heart of the "Floral Paradise of Ohio" (Delhi) the Delshire Apartments are fading fast. Having grown up there, and still visit friends quite frequently, it's sad to see a formerly wonderful community turning into... this. Current problems stem directly from the management company that purchased the property several years ago, and got the "flood" of 2002. Their response? Delay, deny, deceive. Watch us whip that "act of God" clause out faster than you can say, "amoral". After that, all "expensive" maintenance has permanently ceased. Present owners and proxy staff are VERY obviously just milking every penny out of here until closed / condemned / collapsed for good. The horrible contrast is, the *former* team was terrific! John & Linda were like part of the family. Now semi-retired, they can only watch helplessly from the sidelines as our apartment homes fall apart. The only positive comment? Fast eviction timess for problem tenants still work, but building appearance is attracting "them" faster than "they" can be moved out. You know the type- shaved head, goatee, "West Side Choppers" sweatshirt, rusty Honda Civic, etc... Constant stream of "guests" quietly coming and going, all hours of day & night... Hmmm, what do YOU do for a living? Oh, well. At least this provides the local Narcotics / Stolen Goods squad a constant source of steady caseload. It will interesting to see if the next threat of closure from the township will spur yet another attempt to spray another new coat of paint temporarily on- But, I doubt it. Pros: Best grade school in the WORLD right next door! Cons: Current robotic staff doesn't care anymore. more
