I worked here in the past and Loved it. Truth be told it's one of my two favorite gyms from lake worth to deerfield beach. I may even return as a trainer in the future. It's a great strength and conditioning facility and the equipment is some of my favorite. Great from a bodybuilding, athlete, or seniors class perspective. more

Anyone who can positively rate this business must be somehow affiliated with it. It is extremley poorly managed place with most members wondering when the doors are going to be shut. Business that is poorly managed and operated such as this gym should not be trusted with your personal information including the credit card information. The customer service is non existent if you ask for a manager the front desk lady tells you that it is a corporation and there is no manager. They have a cleaning crew of lady of one who is cleaning during the peak hours since this is her job in between other jobs. She cleans men's locker rooms during the peek hours making it impossible to use the shower. Equipment is poorly maintained and staff never does the walk around and helps with stacking the weights. There are very few free weights and you have to hunt them down around the gym. There is rarely soap and tissue paper at the gym. Equipment is dirty and old although once probably good now bad due to no maintenance. The only pro is that is inexpensive but make sure to only use cash. more

Love the Gym 1/6/2011

I just moved to the area from New York so i went online to check out some of the health clubs in the area.First i went to level 5 in east Delray. It was a very big club with a womens only area. The people were nice and the equitment was good. But there were too many body builders there for me. Besides that it was a nice club and also too far for me to drive. Then i went to Palm Beach Gym, Very old and small. The price is low but what do you expect for a small gym with old equitment. I also visited LA fitness On yamatto road, It was very nice but crowded and the parking was very bad. My last stop was Delray Fitness, It was the closest to my house and the parking was great. The staff was very nice and it was a nice size gym, They have a womens area also, howeve not as big as level 5 but it is big enough for me. The price was good and the aerobic scheduel fantastic. No body builders and the child care was free. So the only thig i can suggest is if you are looking for a good Gym, Delray fitness has my vote, But, never take the word of anyone posting something, go out and see each gym for yourself so you can come up with a decision on your own. There are too many gyms out there that will slander the competition by writing bad review. \r I just moved to the area from New York so i went online to check out some of the health clubs in the area.First i went to level 5 in east Delray. Best Gym in Delray..hands down. 9/23/2010

This gym is beyond FANTASTIC! My husband and I have found anything and everything we could possibly ask for. From the first day that we signed up and till this day, everytime either of us goes in for our workout we are greeted by smiles and hellos from all the staff members. The machines are in great condition and what is even better is that they are all in order to make my workouts even less of a headache when I am not working with my personal trainer. They have some of the best trainers I have seen in a gym in a long time. If you need help with weight loss, balance, muscle gaining and toning or anything else there is always someone there to answer any questions I have. What is also very nice about this gym that you can't find at gyms like LA fitness is that it is NEVER to packed because they have such a wide variety of equipment. My husband loves that they have dumbells up to 140 lbs and I love the functional training that my trainer has introduced me to. Also there are little if any grunts and groans. They are very strict on putting away your weights and especially about not dropping them when done. But between the upbeat atmosphere and great customer service that we have both recieved, to me, there is no better gym in the area for such a great price. Not only are they the best gym, but they will also give you a really great deal on your membership. Their manager was very helpful when my husband and I came in looking for an answer to our fitness problems. Probably one of my most favorite aspects of the gym is that right after I am done working out I can go right over to the juice bar, located right inside the gym, for a tasty protein shake. Mark, the owner of the juice bar was able to help my husband pick specific supplements to help him work towards his goals. He did the same for me and I am sure if anyone else needed advice he would be more then willing to help. \r \r more

Great Gym!! Love it... 9/12/2010

I recently joined Delray Fitness and think it's a great place to do my workout. I read some of the nasty reviews below and was surprised it was the same gym I joined!! I was on this website as I'm new to the area and thought it might be helpful and I came across my new gym!! I wouldn't normally post on these websites but was really appalled with the negative, nasty comment below so thought I'd share my story.\r \r I recently moved from London and had been looking for a gym close to my house. I actually saw a guy with a big sign for Delray Fitness on the side of Atlantic and Military and decided to check it out as I was about to join LA Fitness but didn't like how crowded it was when I tried it out.\r I spoke to the manager there and mentioned I'd seen the sign outside. He showed me around the gym and it was exactly what I was looking for. The place wasn't completely overcrowded and I didn't see any muscle heads. The manager was very nice and gave me 3 months for free (as the sign had promised) and I was pleasantly surprised that there were no hidden fees or administrative fees as there are with most gyms. \r I have a child so the free daycare was an added bonus as were the classes offered! \r I tried the Zumba class out for the first time last Tuesday and loved it. It was a fun way to get my workout done.\r The post below by Ferdinanz was quite funny. I love how he commented on his own post as though he were someone else. I really don't see how, whether someone has a criminal record or is overweight has any relevance to a gym... I doubt whether it's true anyway considering he pretended to be a third person.\r \r I honestly found the gym personable and great value for money!! The staff were friendly and very helpful with all the questions I had about moving to the area and noone tried to pick my pocket or rob me on the way out the door Ferdinanz hahaha... Don't take my word for it (or Ferdinanz), check it out yourself. more

Delray Fitness isTHE WORST GYM in Florida! 8/19/2010

This is a horrible place, owned and operated by criminals. Trust me on this! more

CROOKS!!! 8/11/2010

I used to go to Delray Fitness until I was deployed in January. I had to terminate membership because I was leaving the state. It is now August and they are still charging me. I called and some idiot told me there was new staff, managers are out to lunch, my paperwork doesn't exist. Now the only way to cancel is if I give them another deployment letter by certified mail? Seriously? I told him I would contact the Chamber of Commerce and the BBB he replied with ""do whatever you want"". I will do everything in my power to sue them and destroy there reputation. more

I am a fitness fanatic. I have worked out in every club from Miami to Ft. Pierce. This facility has no Bobybuilders slamming weights. They are very strict about being clean and courties to other members. The music is great. All the classes are included in the membership. The Childcare is free, and the club has tons of epuipment. Open from 5am to 11pm. They have several different types of meberships to choose from. And their personal trainers are world class. I would recomend this club to anyone. Oh and they have a seperate ladies only room. Pros: Clean,Friendly,Free Childcare, Tons of Equipment Cons: Not open 24 hours more

  • In Short
The Terminator and the Incredible Hulk (aka Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno) lifted weights at the gym's Venice, California, flagship years ago, but even today, customers frequenting charter locations are bound to encounter serious muscle. Take note: The boys with bulging biceps are the mascots, not the majority. Gold's generally offers Spinning, aerobics and kickboxing classes, yet weight-training remains the core of the program. Dumbbells and barbells, not spa-like amenities, are the attractions that draw the beef-heads in droves.
