Finding the right facility to care for an aging or impaired loved one can be a daunting task. After looking at a number of substandard, if not frightening, alternatives we were pleased to find Delmar Gardens. My father received rehabilitative therapy there for a period of two weeks. The facility is well maintained and decorated -- the dining areas were cheery (the assisted living area dining room seemed more like a hotel dining room than the depressing cafeterial style set ups we found at other locations). Staff members are compassionate and appear quite competent. Physical, occupational and speech therapists were excellent. The facility offers residents entertainment options that far exceeded other facilities. My children actually looked forward to visiting my father and going to the Friday entertainment -- from talented banjo players and entertainers and old fashioned sing-a-longs.
