Delicious Cakes

Delicious Cakes were responsible for the only downside to an almost perfect wedding. They showed up to the reception site 20-minutes beyond their own stated 2-hour delivery window and were missing the all important wedding cake top. They also left of decorative pieces of the grooms cake. Despite all of this, no one with the business felt the need to call in the days following the wedding to apologize for their poor service and inexcusable lack of delivery of the product as ordered. more

We ordered a wedding cake and grooms cake from the addision location. We spent dam near 1000 dollars for two cakes. on our wedding day they delievered our cakes which my wife saw the grooms cake which was completly wronge we ordered a butter cream and red velvet cake with chocolate drizzle, but we received a double chocolate, double fudge. she then tells them that the cake is completly wrong so what they do is look at the contract and then just drive off, instead of trying to fix the problem or say atleast they are sorry. so we call them 2 days after on our honey moon. they say that it is our fault that we are confused plus all our guest ate the cake that they wouldnt take back once they were told was wrong. so i tell them that i want my money back for just the groom's cake and they said that we dont need to pay you that you are confused. so l go back and drive to them with my contract to show them that there contract that they have was edited. it was rewriten in two diffrent ink colors. i would not recomend anyone to go to this company ever. they have very good looking cakes but will mess up your once in a lifetime memory.... thanks for the headache. Delicious Cakes did my wedding cake in August and it was by far the best thing about my wedding. I had lots of detail in my cakes, and Delicious Cakes made it all come to life! I was shocked to read the other comments about their mishaps because If anyone's cakes should have been messed up, it should have been mine. (because of all the details and things). I just made sure to call them a couple days before, which any bride should do before their wedding (with every vendor), and went over my order. Because I knew that I came in months in advance to taste the cakes, and I understood that after all that time, even I forgot every detail of my order. So I believe if you want everything to go right in your wedding or even birthday experience... make sure you firm up your orders with all your vendors beforehand. Just to make sure everyone is on the same page. Just for the record though, Delicious Cakes of Lewisville did a fantastic job for my special day! Thanks Ya'll! Pros: Taste Cons: Not open 24/7!! more

We ordered a wedding cake and grooms cake from the lewisville location 4 months before our wedding. My husband is an Army Veteran, he just came home from over seas a few months before our wedding. The grooms cake was the only thing he was not only excited about but very detialed with. The lewisville location did not get the cake right at all. The taste test we went to and painstacingly chose our frosting and cake choices was evadently a waste of time. We chose milk chocolate frosting with a basket weave and we got fudge frosting with NO basket weave. His cake was also to have ""Home of the Free because of the Brave"" written on top of the bottom layer- that was not there!! I asked the bakery to call me if my florist did not bring flowers by friday evening for our cake that was to be delievered on Saturday they never called- the Wedding cake had no flowers b/c they failed to call their customer back. The next week we called to find out what happend. The owner took almost 2 weeks to call us back with any information. That is rediculious. The cakes tasted ok- they would have tasted great had they put the correct frosting on the cake. It was Not what we ordered and paid for. Becare!! We aren't the first this has happend to. more

I was pretty disappointed when I realized DC didn't make the wedding cake I ordered. I ordered from the Lewisville location, and I'm not sure where it went wrong. The almond extract flavoring was missing, the mousse filling (that we paid extra for) was not there, and the icing was not the icing we chose. I wonder why we took time out of our Saturday to go ""cake taste"" and pick what we liked best. The cake itself was good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't what we ordered. I had been telling everyone about my wedding cake and the almond flavoring with strawberry mousse and cream cheese/butter cream icing.... unfortunately it wasn't like that at all. We were also missing the cake stand. The girl taking our order that day specifically called the Addison location to see if our bottom tier would fit a certain stand and she didn't even put it on the order form. The groom's cake tasted good...the decorations just weren't as good as we had expected. So, yes, they have good cakes...but be careful, they might not read the order form clearly....or they may just not write the order correctly. more

I'll never bake another cake -- Delicious Cakes has the most incredible liqueur cakes, perfect for any adult party and the rasberry chambord is my absolute fave! more
