I prefer to support little mom and pop stores, rather than big chains and have been a loyal regular customer of Delhi Pet Center for several years. I came in the pet store on 1/21/15, and saw a Pekingese mixed puppy. I immediately asked the owner, Greg, how much the dog was, and I told him I would like to purchase the dog. Shortly after this, a lady walked in and was also interested in the puppy. The owner told the lady he would reserve the dog for her right in front of me blatantly, after I had just told him I was interested in the puppy, before she even came in the store. A few minutes later the owner came in behind me, into Humberts butcher shop and I let him know I was unhappy with what had just happened in the pet store. He told me he was friendly with her dad, and she had bought 3 dogs from him already. If he treats his other customers like he treated me, she is the only one going to buying any dogs from him. If she had shown interest first then fine, but I approached him first and he dismissed me as soon as this lady showed interest. I would come in there at least once a month for tank filters, dog food, and other pet supplies, even when it was more pricey there than Petsmart or Walmart. I am very disappointing to discover my loyalty does not matter to Greg. He pretty much blew me off and was really rude. I will not be going back there again!!
